Hello there, you seem to be new. TFW is a message board which allows for long posts, up to several paragraphs long. Unlike text messaging on a cellular phone you are not charged according to message length, and unlike twitter, you do not need to abbreviate or exclude punctuation in order to fall within a character limit.
If you're seeking an answer to your question, it would help if you first composed it into a legible sentence.
no way if knowing what it might be but likely it won't hit til Hasbro's TV network launches
if it is something... subpar... i'm not watching. animated was great. i doubt they can top that unless they redo the scripts of G1 in new styles. even with that... it's going to be a long shot. fans are still ticked about animated's sudden death. GIVE US ANOTHER SEASON ****** (gets bleeped out for 9 minutes while ranting)
how about transformers anime baystyle?
"how about transformers anime baystyle?"
Thats actually what i really want. A Bayformers series but with very good artwork
Transformers in the style of BEN 10:Alien Force.
Not sure since the Hasbro channel was just announced and they haven't started to pimp out the shows they will have for the network.
Just have my fingers crossed that it's not a movie universe series. Something with a toy line that would fit in my Universe collection would be nice but the big factors for me are that it's well written, has tough Decepticons and isn't movie related so I've got some place to escape the all movie all the time thing.
Hopefully it's a series with movieverse aspects, for example Allspark, longnose truck Optimus, Ironhide with big dual cannons, etc.
No, No and NO.
No. HELL no.
We make our dreams come true.
War Within meets 300
The Lost Years (1986-2004).
It's possible to tell a compelling story that falls in the canon (plenty of characters were never seen in or after the movie) and introduce the movie characters (Magnus, Arcee, Hot Rod, etc.). A few story elements would need to be introduced to work around things like the Bumblebee VW design and Megatron's alt mode, but those story elements are doable. (Megatron's a gun in '85 and '05. While it's implied, it doesn't necessarily mean he was a gun in '98. The same goes for Bumblebee's alt mode.)
The biggest selling point would be as a marketing tool. It allows Hasbro to sell the Universe line to both the nostalgic collector and the kids seeing the show for the first time.
no movie style shit, seen enough of that, and we're still getting more, so we can do without it
The way I see it, Hasbro's been trying to recapture G1 lightning in a bottle since the Beast era ended and I don't see any reason why they can't just do a total G1 reboot, like Star Trek just did. No lame gimmicks like keys or combining, just focus on the characters and the story. They can even use the Classics/Universe/Masterpiece lines as inspiration. Quit trying to reference or pay homage to G1 and just go make G1 v2.0. Have the characters get upgraded or get new bodies from time to time so they can frequently update the product and I don't see any reason why the show can't last more than the three short seasons Animated got.
But honestly, anything will work as long as the toys are cool and they don't resemble the movie stuff. I'm looking forward to the movie as much as anybody else, but they still look more like alien junkpiles to me than actual Transformers.
I'll pass on that Thank You very much.
