If you ultimately want to own all of them, you have to decide which one is going to become hardest to find on the aftermarket and appreciate in value past what you feel it's worth first. Big Powered: currently in stock at BBTS and Chosen Prime for original price. Has a reputation for not living up to the hype around it. Might remain available for some time. On the other hand, Japanese exclusive. Possibly the one that will be hardest/most expensive to get in the long term. Siege Powerdashers: Cromar and Zetar currently in stock at Hasbro Pulse for original price. Historically Selects seem to remain available for long periods. Aragon currently in stock at Amazon but bundled with two figures you don't mention being interested in. Currently goes for twice what the other two do on eBay when resold by himself. Advisable to watch eBay for deals. Refraktor Reconnaissance set: currently out of stock on Hasbro Pulse, in stock at various aftermarket sites. Seems to have a good reputation, may disappear/escalate in value fastest. If it were me, I might go after Refraktor first, with Big Powered a close second, followed by Aragon, with Cromar and Zetar being held off on until last.
Big Powered can be had for $92 shipped to the U.S. if the seller decides to turn his shop back on (think he took his listings down due to CNY and the coronavirus?): NEW TRANSFORMERS TAKARA TOMY LG-EX BIG POWERED DAI ATLAS,SONIC BOMBER,ROADFIRE | eBay The seller is legit as confirmed by this board member who snagged one for $92: LG-EX Big Powered Revealed You'll have to buy calves otherwise Dai Atlas bascially has skinny bird legs in bot mode: Shockwave Lab SL-52 SL52 Upgrade Kit for Takara Tommy LG-EX Dai Atlas Big Powered Upgrade Kit. Mine as well get the Z-Sword while you're at it: Shockwave Lab SL-53 SL53 Z Sword for Takara Tommy LG-EX Dai Atlas Big Powered Upgrade Kit
This is literally the conversation I've been having in my head about these lol. Only reason I'm hesitant on Refraktor is I have the Perfect Effect team which is really awesome but they are small hence why I'm thinking of upgrading. There are some other wants and possibilities but trying to keep spending mild for now lol
I don't have the Powerdashers. But I have the other two. I'm a gazillion times more pleased with the Refractor set than the Big Powered set. All 3 figures in the Refractor set are good solid figures. The extra camera parts complete the set. Dai Atlas has a wobbly waist and Roadfire has a bobblehead.
No Powerdashers here but the original molds. Aesthetically, prefer Referaktor set, then Big Powered, and then weaponizers. Son plays with Big Powered the most, followed by Refraktor, and then weaponizers. Dai Atlas' empty calves are indeed ridiculous in pictures and even worse in person. Must order Shockwave Lab's calf fillers (I painted over the missile parts with silver and red paint and then sealed everything with clear coats as the blue is painted on).
I voted for Refraktor set. I also have the Perfect Effect team, and they really are too small for a generations collection. Initially, I was worried that the siege Reflector figure would be too big, but I really like it's size. The number of Autobots greatly outnumber the Decepticons (in terms of characters and figure releases, I can only assume that your collection also reflects this) so perhaps that could be an extra reason to go with Refraktor. I'm also biased, as I have notable nostalgia over the original toy design of the g1 Reflector trio. I'm assuming that you are talking about the Reconnaissance set, and not just 3 of the cartoon design siege mass release guys. The downside to the Reconnaissance set, is that they don't have different sculpted heads. Which is a shame. They should have, like the siege powerdashers. Big Powered looks cool, but it has all of those faults going against it. I also really wanted to get it, but couldn't bring myself to.
