Though people will never be completely happy with Transformers movies, which is okay being you have a right to your view. Who would you want to be the next director of the next Transformers movie installment? Do you think the next movies should be mostly G1 related or a bit of many of the series that we love with new twist as we seen with this trilogy?

There are already so many threads about this, why do we need a new one.

 

We should just merge them into one huge sticky thread.

 

I really enjoyed the first movie. The second one was great in the first half. Sadly the second movie went awful towards the end.
But the third redeemed itself.

Of course what I'd like to se is Unicron in a 4th movie. And I think with a bit of work a Transformers Unicron movie could turn into a great disaster movie (no pun intended).

DOTM SPOILER?
I think the end of DOTM was kind of a compinsation for the lack of ol' Uni. Though we didn't get to see the infamous planet chewer. The massive swirling hole above earth that finished Cybertron did kinda look like a tribute to a movie Uni.

Perhaps the writers couldn't see how to write Unicron into an earth based story?
Anyhow, I got a plot that could bring ol' Uni in and rock the plot of the TFers.
Err, ask and I will tell.

I am a bit of an advocate of a reboot, myself, but that's not to say that a continuation of this current story couldn't be done. It could be engaging if done right, and if a new villain who is interesting is chosen. Overlord would be a cool way to go, and diving into the more obscure roster of characters makes sense. The movie-going audience would probably enjoy it either way, as Blackout and Barricade were obscure before their reimagining in the movies.

I would love for it to be directed by James Cameron. I can't imagine anyone else directing it.

I've been kicking around this idea for two weeks now so here it goes:
Transformers 4: Generations
Daniel Witwicky is about to turn 16 and his father Sam keeps reminding him that he'll one day receive his old lucky Camaro and reminds him that there is more than meets the eye to the car. Then one day, Sam and Carly are kidnapped on the highway by the Decepticon Dead End and Breakdown. Dead End holds the two of them hostage so that Daniel can tell them about the whereabouts of the cyber planet key. Just when Dead End and Breakdown plan to take Daniel too, Bumblebee arrives to save Daniel by killing Breakdown, but Dead End once again makes off with Sam and Carly. Daniel tries to drive Bumblebee to the police station, but Bumblebee instead drives toward the NEST base and Daniel is ejected from the car only to witness Bumblebee transform. Optimus drives up, transforms, and tells Daniel about them and how Sam founded Sector 8 and researched the cyber planet key. The decepticons want it to revive Cyclonus (in my version, he was Megatron's decepticon mentor). Daniel and the Autobots must find it before the Decepticons do and save the world. New Autobots include Ultra Magnus, Hot Rod (Optimus' protege), Sunstreaker, and the female Firestar. New Decepticons include Slipstream (basically a conniving female Starscream), the coneheads, stunticons, Tidal Wave, and Cyclonus. Unicron will not appear until the sixth movie.

 

But he's not talking about something unique. People have made twenty different threads discussing the future of the franchise, why can't he just post in one of those threads?

Heres an idea. Don't make any lol. TF3 was made to end the series. Anything else would feel phoned in like that god forsaken Jurassic park 3.

 

And those two ended up being pretty popular, especially Barricade! Even Sentinel Prime was an obscure character they made the main villain and I think it worked.
