    Ebay:
The seller who is selling the new KO Shockwave in ioffer has answered to 2 buyers that the next 2 KOs are Sunstreaker and Octane. Since it's the same seller saying it I guess it's true. Please check the messages on the listing for the buyers cbeck10 and gilderdave.

Quoted from one of the sellers answers:
"hi,the Sunstreaker KO and and Octane KO will come soon, maybe next month"

Transformers G1 Spotlight Shockwave KO Reissue IN BOX For Sale

As for me, it's the first time I hear of an Octane KO, at least on this "good quality lineup".

    Best regards

I might have to get one of those Sunstreakers just to have the mold.

Man, I hate having to do it but I may have to buy Sunstreaker. Depends on the quality.

The only other one I've ever bought is Mirage, and it was suprisingly nice. I just hate the idea of buying a KO.

Apparently Springer is possibly on the way as well as some variant Diaclone versions of Autobot cars.

Whether you approve of these or not, it is nice for there to be a way to get these toys brand new again. The quality is right there with official product. I'm sure if Hasbro or TakaraTomy released any of these, they would still be very successful. But the fact is, they don't care to release many of these items.

At least there are guides online to help those people who want to ensure a vintage product. But honestly folks, there really isn't any material difference that I would be that worried about.

I'm sure it sucks for vintage collectors who collect more for value than enjoyment, but I'm sure it sucked for BotCon seeker owners when TakaraTomy released Thundercracker, Dirge, and Thrust. If there is demand, there is always the risk of more supply.

To me, these things are as close as I will probably ever get to a time machine. I can't say that they don't excite me greatly.

All these bootlegs are sucking the life out of owning originals.

While I love the nostalgia factor, Universe/Henkei figures are just so much cooler to me.

Perhaps I'm just getting to old for these 80s toys.

If they're affordable, filling a gap that no one else is (or plans to), and the people buying them have no problem with them...

I don't see it to be that big of a deal. Sure, some sellers will pawn them off as legit, and that's a terrible shame. However, most TF buyers are smart enough to look at the pictures and the price and realize "Yup. Bootleg."

So, ultimately, isn't it up to the buyer to do the footwork before buying? Sure, go ahead and report the bad auctions, it's only right, but there are some sellers who clearly tell you it's a "remake".

I'm personally fine with them. I believe they deliver on the goods at an affordable price without sacrificing the look and feel.

If the quality and price is like their Mirage release, count me in for Sunstreaker, red Diaclone Sunstreaker and Police Patrol Sunstreaker.

I already have a beautifully restored Sunstreaker. Octane I dont have and will definitely take a look this when it comes out. Hes the only Decepticon triple changer I dont have yet. Never had him as a kid either. He is very expensive on the secondary market especially complete, and even more expensive if the condition is good. I have the Mirage KO and the cassettes, and the quality is very good. Im OK w/ the KOs. The market will determine thier viability. If the encore line re-issues figures like Cyclonus, Scourge or Octane I'd buy them in a second, but I'd be surprised if an official release for these figures ever happens. Until official releases come, I have NO problem paying the people who are making these toys. If Hasbro or Tak/Tomy wants my money, (and apparently alot of other peoples too) than they will make these toys themselves.

Awesome, I can't wait! I've been holding off buying an overpriced vintage Sunstreaker for years for JUST this reason. Octane and Springer I could care less about, but Sunstreaker and Mirage = win.
    > If (g1reissue) then (buy) else (wait for KO reissue)

Also: inb4 thread is closed due to mods terrified of legal repercussions.
...or rather, before the TFW white knights close the thread due to their personal distaste of KOs. ;)

I guess he has gone up a little in the last year, but I wouldn't consider him to be particularly expensive. Looks like they can be had on Ebay anywhere from $40-$75.

IIRC, past KO's have cost that much anyway, so I really don't know why they are bothering.

I already have a Sunstreaker, but I would get one just for the box or if they come out with the red one. Also have an original Mirage with the ko red and clear ones. Quality keeps getting better on these. Happy with the ko Gnaw, Metrotitan, and clear cassettes that I have also.

How is the quality on KO Gnaw? I just saw him on their ioffer page and almost wet myself. Is he worth the $65?

    I want an Octane!

I don't have a Gnaw yet, but I'm sure the quality is good. I don't have any of these where the quality makes me regret my purchase at all.

One thing to look out for on him though...his head was one color, not 2 like it is supposed to be. They may have corrected this though, they have a tendency to correct their mistakes over time.

Yes these are so great, Hasbro needs to get with it and put out some more reissues because these ko`s is the only way to get some of these that we never had as a child!
