That wasn't an idea first put forward by IDW, though - while it's usually just a typical Megatron-derived Galvatron, often they'll bring in a version from an alternate universe (typically called Galvatron II) while the 'normal' Megatron stays Megatron.

Heck, back in the Dreamwave days, Armada's 'Worlds Collide' arc actually had G1 Galvatron come through with a few other Unicron Heralds and end up fighting Armada Megatron.

 

i also really hope, it will be the same Megatron / Galvatron from AOE.

As he said in the End "We will meet again Optimus, because iam Reborn"

So he really was Megatron with a new Body.

If you look closer in that scene (i had to look twice, and saw it later on Blu Ray)
Galvatron was a Fusion from Sentinel Prime and Megatron.
You can see Sentinels and Megatrons Head as KSI.
That also explains the Sentinel / Prime look on Galvatrons Face.

in my Opinion, that is an awesome Direction the Movies will go,
Two Minds fused into one Body.

Sentinel and Megatron are awesome villains. But i never liked Megatrons
trashy damaged rusty Body. Galvatron was the best one; he even had FINGERS / FULL Fists this time  

For me AOE Prime and AOE Galvatron were the best Incarnations of Optimus and Megatron ever

The Epic Battle iam still waiting for is: Optimus + Galvatron VS Unicron
like in the Armada Anime Cartoon.

this would be the most epic Fight ever.

 

It's possible that Transformium (or however you call it) becomes unstable after prolonged use and Megatron makes a deal with the creators? (just a though)

I forsee the Creators forcing Optimus and Megatron to fight each other in the future (5, 6, 7 or which ever film)

I can see what you mean... especially with that blood smeared on one side of his face... it is blood, isn't it? Because if it's paint then the point I just made is completely unfounded.

Ksi probably tried through sentinel to build an optimus like body for their creation.
But the bugs only transfered megatrons mind, not sentinels

 

actually I would like that, having Megatron and Galvatron two separate characters

 

Even if Galvatron turns back into Megatron or if both will be separate characters, will Bay bring back Weaving as the voice of Megatron again?
