I collect both alt and bot mode so I end up with all 12 without even trying. No way I have room to display the full space bridge though.

Yep. They do the same with some of the clamshell packaging in the box.

Looks good. What do you have for Seekers and Conheads currently? Can you post a comparison pick (bot mode)?

 

Starscream is newage, all other seekers are DX9 right now.

Okay, but I'm at work and don't really feel like rearranging the set up just to do a comparison when I get home (Especially because if they take the time to go back trough other posts in the thread people already have done their own comparison pics) I may post pics later when I do some minor paint fixes. New age screamer won't need much, but TE element Black arachnia will.

I got my Starscream in a few days ago... haven't had time to transform the little guy, work and xmas prep has kept me busy, but he's a beautiful little jet.. other than the missing wing flaps. Can't understand why they left them off.. it looks like they forgot to put on the last two pieces, especially when you put the dx9 one next to it. But otherwise, a very nice looking jet.

 

I think I’m fine with that, they’re going more for toon accuracy so having the points on the wings in jet mode makes sense.

 

Got to open mine this morning. He's much bigger and heavier than I thought he would be. Like him so far; only critical notes would be that he is sort of back heavy and temperamental to get standing (the die-cast feet help). Also, his shoulders have a transformation hinge that move out of place when moving the arms around (this might lessen as the arm joints loosen since they are pretty tight).

EDIT: Been fiddling with him all day. In regards to him no standing perfect, as long as you make sure his blue toe area is square to the ground, he stands well. If the toes are slightly slanted, that combined with the round thruster-heel makes him somewhat unstable.

The head is on a ball peg but the range of motion up and down is extremely limited which is a bummer.




I fell down a rabbit hole regarding the box, which has the label SCHLITZSTAFFEL. In German, schlitz means fly and staffel means squadron - thus, flying squadron. But it's also a play on Schutzstaffel better known as the SS. Ya know, that whole army under Hitler and Nazis.
