That's if you're ok with a Shockwave Porsche
Oh sh!t!! I totally forgot about Shocky!!! No, I passed on the NA Porsche version.
Quick Google... nope, nothing even close to being acceptable, IF is too angular, MFT too large and just a KO of IF... nothing from NA or MS...
Okay, add Shockwave to the list of needed Season 1 bots!
Don’t know if this video has been posted to YouTube as well but this is a longer look at Starscream.
Goes through all the articulation but the only figure I saw him pose it with was NA Megatron.
No clue how to get an embeddable link for that. So hope the link works for you.
one screenshot - doesn’t quite nail the pose but still pretty good at this size.
And one more short one that mainly shows off the transformation - is that an MST Megatron prototype in the background?
The alt modes look a little long. I think Thrust is a misstep though with the wings on the legs....
Fly to me, my pretties!
for the buyers i am glad the coneheads will ship with the their flight stands.
i am also glad i finally got to see them in color and posed. i think i will grab screamer when i get the chance.
but the coneheads dont look good to me at all. there is way too much wing on those lower legs. NA should have tried to break the wings up like IF did.
Just a reminder, they are trying to make them look like these:
Source material notwithstanding, they should have allowed them to swing the wings back. They're big and clumsy and I won't be able to stand them very close to each other in my dwindling shelf space! It's my one gripe about the Seekers too.
My beautiful Seekers, come to me.
Pretty sure you can fold the wings back... there’s joints there
Note Ramjet’s wings in this image
100% agree. Ordered the trio, PT ones are gonna be perma jet mode on the stands these guys come with.
Thrust has spinning turbines!?!..
mygawd. those face sculpts are perfect. thick-nosed, callous-faced, goons. you can just tell they're only concerned with busting chops and swilling energon.
These Coneheads are probably goin to end up replacing the Pocket Toys KOs I got. LOL I thought I was safe getting those because I probably wouldn’t care about replacing them. But here we are...
I’ve been looking back at the Starscream from MST because color shots makes me think it may not be far off and I usually lean MST. It’s got good points but I think the clear cockpit is what’s losing me most on that one. There’s nothing to see there, why clear? The painted ones on NA just look way better to me. Still I think I’m gonna wait to see first buyer’s reactions. I’d hate to get them for $40 and they are floppy messes. That foot design is so close to what I have on my Coneheads and that doesn’t inspire confidence. Although in the videos it looks stable enough.
I've bought every single NA release (minus some recolors) and the only thing that is close to floppy is Ironhide/Ratchets shoulder area, but that is more of a misstep in engineering than actually quality. *knock on wood* I can't see NA making a mistake on something as important as the Seekers.
‘I really suspect you’re right, but unless I see a screaming deal, I’m going to wait for in hands reactions I think. Of course my mind could change without warning. I’m more excited for this design than MST which is the opposite of my normal. Ha!
yeah, Ramjet does seem to fold and slim up. I'm less convinced by Dirge, who *does* look like he has a hinge, but then has a smaller fin crammed in there as well which might get in the way? And thrust looks like it's only a vertical hinge down, not one that sweeps back.
The Coneheads turned out pretty; the expressions are varied without any screaming Skywarp face. I am tempted to replace my DX9 versions with these. I wish Magic Square was further along with their Seekers so comparisons would be easier.
Also glad to see the Spacebridge pieces will be included.
I agree they look good in general, but for me I need Thrust's wings to be up on his back. He just looks better that way. So, if anyone is letting go of their DX9 coneheads, I'd probably be willing to pick them up.
