The style looks like Newage's. No more information. (I think the earliest code number it could be is H55, so it won't be early)

 

Definitely looks like Newage. That chest looks tiny and it doesnt appear to expand/collapse for transformation but overall he looks great.

However, isn't NAH51 (Ironhide) the last code number used? So this could be NAH52

 

i am sure NA can make some cool looking car bots. but i can't get past the height they would most likely be at.

i don't personally like the prime and his kids look.

 

Yeah, that chest looks like a single piece and too small for the front of the car mode. Faux chest=instant no. All you need to do is have a panel in the middle that you remove and collapse the difference. I'd like to hope there's just a seam or two we can't see, but the NA designer made it pretty clear he'll fake parts even when it's not necessary (Arcee with the faux chest, and then the front of the car looked ugly as hell anyway).

We'll see, but I had already written off Sideswipe and Sunstreaker from my legends collection anyway. NA height is what I want, but not with their fake crap.

10% hold-out this doesn't fake the chest. We'll have to wait and see.

 

You guys are saying the chest is fake. But if you collapse those legs together, it’s more or less the same width as the torso.

You can also see the wheel arches. If the chest was fake, it would not have wheel arches.

 

this is just a render, so it would look like seamless. I guess there would still be some deformation for that chest (that would answer why there're 2 pins on it)
And H51 Ironhide, H52 Ratchet, H54 Autobot X. Sideswipe should be followed by Red Arlert, so H49 and H53 doesn't work.

 

I don't mind fake parts personally, Takara isn't above the practice after all. I think it looks great, though admittedly I'm more excited to see their Sunstreaker.

I also feel like NA is a little less overkill on repaints with the cars, so less guessing and trying to pick the best version.

 

Love fake parts when they make 2 good modes, this is looking good!

 

Now if we can get MS to do a 2.0 Sideswipe in response to this I’d be really happy.

If there’s a toy version I’ll get this, but I’m gonna hold off on any speculation til I see more.

 

It seems like the resulting robot would be too big for Newage, considering how much it compresses into vehicle mode.

 

Interesting, if true. I could use a good Sideswipe, if he's cheap enough. If this is Newage, what kind of repaints can we expect?

G2, SG, Toy, Transparent, and Golden Lagoon for sure. Maybe Armada Wheeljack?

If they make a g2 that’s pimped out like the IF one then that would be hard to resist

 

Kinda looks a bit stumpy for Newage. Maybe they’ll improve on it, but it looks like something that could be part of Dr Wu’s minis

 

A faux bonnet-chest would be a dealbreaker for me, too. Otherwise, color me interested.

 

Of course it's still early to comment, but anyway is this NA or some other Sideswipe looks great. This render image reminded me of image prototype of Sideswipe from Ark Studio Vip and X-Transbots which unfortunately did not come out.
