Does anyone know when Optimus Prime is supposed to be released. Show.Z says 2021, but I think TFSource says 2022. I’m surprised this guy isn’t out in Asia already with some YouTube video reviews of him. Wonder what the delay is. Can’t wait for the inevitable comparison between him and the MS 2.0 version.

    Truck mode.
About box size, 4.25 * 2.75 * 5 in inches. Different from all my other NA boxes so far. Nnngghh.
    You're welcome!

there are mold differences though, everything below the waist is different. I'm assuming that's the delay, they're finishing off everything with one mold before going to the other.

Nice, I like small boxes. Hopefully the future repaints of the original OP mold will be in small boxes, too.

Look like a hint from NA that they are finishing it

Recently started thinking that the decision to use the Magnus mold for Nemesis and Shattered Glass Optimus was to give equal use to both of the Prime molds. The Magnus version currently has four repaints - Ultra Magnus, Delta Magnus, Nemesis, SG OP. If NA follows their usual repaint conventions, we can expect at least four versions of the Optimus version - Default, EX (Toy), Transparent, Gold.

Atleast to begin with, hopefully we'll get Fire Guts, Toxitron, etc. in the future as well.

They are way different. On their Optimus the legs are completely new mold and Engineering and parts on the back and chest

I agree it looks familiar but the only thing I can think that comes close at this time is an older Street Fighter II poster with Bison in the Nemesis position.

The box art's '外道魔神伝' can be translated as 'Turthika/Heterodox Demon God Legend'. I guess it should be a Hong Kong manhua or Japanese manga reference, but I do not know what exactly it is. Besides, that pose is very often seen in various media so...

I preordered from Terry and now I'm jealous! Hopefully the other stores get theirs in stock soon. I'm eager to get the repaints. Personally, I love the mold!

Given Newage's penchant to dive deep into 80s era video game covers I'm thinking it's something from that time period, and in particular the way the fingers on Prime are articulated as well as the "running man" pose of Shattered Glass Megatron, it's nagging at me that I know I've seen the original somewhere before. Tried to Google it and it's so hard to search for an image just by vaguely describing it LOL.

If anyone gets anymore hints please post!

I know what you mean. I am sure there's a movie poster with two characters depicted on it in exactly the same poses as Optimus and Megatron are depicted here, but I can't think of what it might be or how to search for it.
I tried image search, but it just returns images of Transformers and Gundams.

But it's true that there are a lot of movie and other posters that look very similar to this situation.

    Could be Labyrinth:

But I don't think it is. I think there's a more identical movie poster that art was inspired by.

Well, the 'Deadly Demon Emperor' is here, as NA claimed his name so on Weibo.

As you can see, there is a visible color disparity between the paintd and unpainted parts.

Compared with their Nemesis, the joints on this one are a little looser (which means feeling better when handling) but even more coarse, with many edges unclean and sharper than they should be. To be honest I feel a little disappointed.

All contents in the box. Really nothing to say.

The jetpack does not utilize the hole on his back. Instead you need to plug his backpack into the jetpack, which may cause some paint chipping on his back, so I will probably never use this on him again.

    NA_H27P_TAAG.jpg
"'til all are gone" on his arms. Iconic.

Last but not least, him with Generations Selects SG Prime. lovely.
That is all. Waiting for their original Prime.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that the thrusters on his jetpack have ball joints and can rotate and move a little bit.
EDIT2: There is another thing that bugs me: his alternative hands are black but his default ones are dark blue.

Does SG Prime have the ports in the back to attach the cape from the Nemesis Prime? And is that cape from Nemesis Prime the same as the one that some of the Newage Seekers come with?

    Yes. Same goes for H28/H28G.
Sorry I do not have any of their seekers but by the looks of them I suppose they are the same.
