NewAge has been incredibly smart with their diecast usage. It’s not used as a premium material to bump up price for a perceived value. It’s used to counter weight distribution, make figures stand more securely, & strengthen certain engineering points.

 

This is awesome! I'm getting both NA prime and MS prime v2. I mean i already got the tiny Dr wu prime, might as well add these into my collections..I've fallen down this rabbit hole waaaaay too deep now..

Yeah if there are few to no left over parts when magnus is in armor, will definitely get that version over MS.

Optimus looks so freaking good. And are those MP-44 style hip skirts? Would be the perfect choice for articulation.

Just waiting to see the head sculpt up close. Hope they nailed it and knock this guy out of the park.

Looks like the matrix is different from Galvatron’s. Was unsure if they would reuse it. But it makes sense that they wouldn’t. That matrix would be big for primes chest.

 

Dang, I just got MS Magnus V2, wasn’t expecting NA Magnus so soon. Looks like Prime and Magnus could drop any time. Probably after Devastator is completely out, but they look ready.

Oh well, I guess there’s always the alt mode display for whichever I like least in bot mode.

 

Looking like the H27W legs are still the same like their old render, which is good for me. I'm glad that the white Prime will have a different transformation to the original H27.

I will get both of them, and probably the H27 EX version if it's nice.

Edit: and I'm just guessing, but the Magnus armor is like from only 4 different parts, even the head is like connected to the whole upper body part.

 

Now I just need to see that sweet, sweet Shattered Glass version that had better have the appropriate skull face!

Really excited for this guy’s repaints. Since I didn’t grow up a g1 fan, I always prefer bots without humanoid faces (especially for armor) and I didn’t realize how cool looking sg magnus was

I'm actually surprise how good NA UM turns out to be. Assuming he's not a partformers or has left over parts like MS UM v2, this is actually the 1st fully transformable G1 Armor UM whose profile looks slim like the toon S3 UM in contrast to the bulky looks on MP22/MS UM v2/Seige UM. Nothing wrong of being bulky since UM is some time portrayed as a massive bot, it's just not common to see an armor UM that looks so slim. NA Armor UM proportion looks great. Had I not know before and someone just shows me NA UM only from the front, I would've assume he's all-in-one bot and not armor up.

My only nitpicky so far is the waist design/coloring. First, the center blue above the white belt and white crotch needs to switch place, see photo below. Second, the side of the waist is too flat, it's missing that side pouch/pocket-like *forgot the terminology, cow something?*. Otherwise, can't wait to own him.

I actually like Magnus more than Prime; the white crotch with white legs is a lil blah to me. Psyched Optimus Prime and Ultra Magnus might ship by the end of the year. NA will finish the season one Decepticons this year so maybe they can start working on season one Autobots.

For a build a Magnus he looks good, gonna tower over most the bots, but he'll look good. Wonder if the eventual (and/or inevitable)Skyfire and the Dinobots will be about the same height.

 

I figure since they did Galvatron, Rodimus is coming soon as well.
