I’m sure we will get pictures of the multiple repaints this figure is going to have near its release. We already know traditional Optimus Prime and Ultra Magnus. I expect a Nemesis Prime, SG, golden lagoon and a delta magnus.

I wanted a NA Magnus that wasn't a white Prime wearing armor

NA Prime looks great, like a mini MP44. I hope they release in the white UMagnus color too so I can display it side by side with their Armor UMagnus. Why need to purchase 2 Armor UMs for the same mold when this route give me 2 molds.

 

Because NA sure loves their Karate Kid references, amirite?

 

NA Prime seems to be a little bulkier/boxier look than what NA is used to. For some reason it looks like it will fit better with the MS line. Where the MS Prime fits with the NA line. I don’t know...

 

Did you not like Magic Square's? Their all-in-one Magnus is still one of my favourite Legends figures ever.

 

Yeah it looks great, but I was wondering if NA also have one in development.

 

I'm thinking the proportions look a little off, with the torso a bit short and the legs a bit long. And my vote will always be for real truck windows. But overall a solid design.

While we wait for color models, I thought I'd try my hand at a bit of Photoshop...

 

You've done good!
Yeah, there are details I would've personally changed - little longer waist, smaller head or maybe just the antennae... - but overall I think he looks great, and different enough to MST Prime to justify multiple variants in my collection (Nemesis Prime is a given, plus I'm looking forward to see what the inevitable EX version will look like).

I don’t mind the thicker side antennas due to his size. The head is going to be the size of a pea. If it was a voyager class figure I would be more bummed out.

I also wonder if they will copy MP-44 and give us 3-4 heads. Depending on if they plan to go the Starscream decoy accessories.

It doesn't look like it. At least, there's zero word that they've got anything, so it looks like they just decided to go the armored route (though MS is now doing the same after already having their all-in-one).

I mean, the future is the future. Maybe someday NA will go the other way. But there's nothing of it right now.

 

I really hope that not all the repaints come with a trailer... if I had my way they would only be sold separately, but I could also live with only the “EX” version including it (similar to how that version of Darius comes with the Unicron sumo suit).

 

Yeah I would prefer just the cab. Don't need any more grey boxes at this point.

If it comes with the trailer, I might actually wait for a repaint that doesn't.

 

Not been taken with anyone’s previous legends Primes, but this one delivers. Pre ordered! Hopefully there won’t be a horrible backpack surprise
