EX arrived today. Oh my goodness. I thought I was really taking a risk going all out on a $100 legends figure. Nope, don’t regret it, and I haven’t even played with the accessories yet.

Tried all the above already but still can't get the grey parts to sit 100% flush. Not a big deal, anyway, and it looks good enough to me at this point.

 

My Nemesis arrived this week and had the same problem. I'm not sure if you've already been pointed towards this, but for me it was this...

There's a mushroom peg that connects the bumper piece to the grille piece (the one with the screw in the centre). This is the rotating point that flips bumper to fake chest.

On my Nemesis, that mushroom peg was not seated properly, which meant the bumper stuck out in cab mode, and the chest was too far inward in robot mode.



This fix (for me) was to open the chest (don't loose the matrix) and correctly seat the mushroom peg into place inside the matrix chamber. It can't have been out by much, but just enough to mean everything wasn't aligning.

What you did get was a retro package of the original Diaclone Battle Convoy. Equally as cool IMHO.  

 

Got my cheapo Prime in hand. Holding it side by side with the regular H27 you definitely see how the addition of that finish and diecast makes a figure feel premium. H27F is a great budget option. He will be sitting on my work desk.

 

My youth version showed up today, this figure is incredibly good. My big gripe so far is that the back of the truck looks a little dorky but it's minor and I'm already getting used to it.

If people are saying the youth version feels cheaper, I'm even more excited for the EX version i have in the mail, because this is already an excellent experience.

 

Damn, this is cool! The new face for Megatron makes all the difference and I love having toy decos in both legends and MP scale to put next to the original toys.

Pardon my ignorance here (I haven’t been paying much attention to MP-44 developments the last few years) but what am I looking at here in terms of the MP-44 toy version? Did I miss an exclusive release? Or is it a custom or KO? Either way it looks great.

 

Custom made from the KO. I designed and printed the head based on a digibash by chchchch, I swapped parts from the two different KOs (v1 had the chrome parts of the original MP-44 and v3 had silver pants but no chrome), replaced the windshields, and added some stickers. It's still a WIP but I've been working on other projects and my Etsy store.
