Wow, finally the term "mini masterpiece" is entirely earned! This figure has me in awe of the complexity and fun. I'm so pleased with my purchase. I am gonna add autobot symbols and the yellow triangles though, and probably the upper chest lights for robot mode.

 

One question I've been meaning to ask: are the pointy hands the only ones painted in the H27 set?

I'm figuring as much, but I just wanted to check.

 

I'm sitting in a Zoom meeting now and have just transformed him - what a wonderful process! And to top it off, the instructions were really clear too! I recently suffered through the admittedly beautiful Magic Square Devastator, the transformations for which varied from 'not bad' to 'dear god I want to eat my own face'. In contrast, this little guy is logical, smooth, deliberate and precise. Fantastic stuff.

 

Stoked to get the dead grayscale version this week. Couldn't pass that up.

Yeah agreed. I used a video tutorial but I didn’t even need to watch half of it since once you have it opened up and once you know a few of the steps the rest is very clear, and everything came together very nicely. He’s so fun to pose too!

It's inconsistent, but I've always felt that Prime gets a single logo on the right shoulder. Ideally, a white even thin outlined logo, no fill-in. Magnus gets one on each. I've not been able to obtain a set of Optimus style logos for my figs.

 

Would the toyhax clear ones be able too? I've been eyeing them for Prime and Perceptor but they're currently out of stock.

 

I originally ordered the Youth version of Newage David when it became available, but it is still in China. So i caved and purchased their nemesis prime, making this guy my first official Newage and Legends figure! He is beautiful, so happy I decided to get him! (And only had to wait 2 days, as I ordered from Omegalock!) I love him, so cute

 

Ah damn I just looked up MP-44 and it seems you’re right. Maybe I’ll remove the right shoulder one later. I’ll think about whether or not I should switch to white outlined or stick with the one I have now. I don’t think I have any more white outlined stickers left in that size. The small ones always run out first! I wish faction sticker sheets had more small ones and less huge ones.

 

I can check tonight. Pretty sure that is what used on mine.

 

My cheap version showed up and I got to say, I like the Magnus legs much better.

 

I do too. The mermaid looking back with breaks from the blue to white and contouring looks weird and the feet are a pile of kibble mess in truck mode. I attach it to the trailer juist to hide the back when in truck mode. I typically don't even care about the trailer but this is a must for this figure to hide his shame. Minor complaint overall, kind of, but the rear of the truck on David feels like they gave up a bit and the complexity of the transformation, although satisfying in motion, fails on the visual. I recommend Newage go back and reengineer it and do better. Cuz I'll probably buy it.

 

So here are my NA OP's.


I was pretty excited to get the death OP. So much that I directly put a PO at showZ.
I like the little details in the paint job and that he got the diecast part not like the youth version.
So he is pretty good but I would recommend getting him from somewhere else. 75$ stung quite harsh. Especially when other stores got him for around 50$. Yes it is my own fault for going through with the order but back then I hoped it would be worth it and I didn't see the other prices.
In the past I was actually quite happy with the pricing at showZ...

The first of the bunch that I got was the Nemesis and he just blew me away.
Maybe because of the initial impact I prefer this mold over the newer one.
The new mold shines perfectly in robot mode but it just destroys the alt mode imho.
Most of you guys seem to just display OP in robot mode so no problem. And if you put him in alt mode then always with the trailer.

The transformation itself is fun and I would say that the transformation of the legs is better in the new mold too.

Overall I love the OP from NA but I think after the experience with the death version I can hold myself back from getting the other versions of OP. I'm not familiar with SG and Toxitron and can't understand why everyone seems to praise the color scheme of these iterations.

But never say never. I didn't want to own 2 of the same mold in the first place  

 

I got the cheap one and all my expectations have been met or exceeded for a figure of this price. Simply amazing.

One word of caution, the antennas on prime's head on mine fell out pretty easily. Took me 5 minutes crawling around on the floor to find it when I realized it was missing. I think I'll probably use some glue on them as they are super small, and could disappear very easily.

 

I like purple, and the shade used in NA's SG Prime is very pleasing to me. That's kinda the main reason. I like how it looks, I like that it came with a relatively unique accessory (the energy hand-hook), and I like the little deco details (bullet hole in the windshield, ultra-edgelord "'Til All Are Gone" tattoo).

Toxitron is just such a garish, wild, over-the-top color scheme that I can't help but be amused by it. The orange splatter on the trailer looks pretty cool to me, as well.

 

My EX came in a little bit ago. Looks really nice and immediately popped that new Megatron face on his EX figure.

Took some pics but at the moment computer is being stubborn.
