i am a little conflicted on if should sell my hasbro bugs while the market is hot or if i should keep them...
Wow, they look great! Love what I have of theirs so far, and I’ll be getting these guys. Plus, they are the kings of good promo shots.
Maybe because of the above? I’m kind of glad to hear that though; assuming these are about the size of their bee, their arms are going to be pretty slim. The nylon should make breakages much less likely.
Any word on price yet? If an individual NA figure runs $22-32. A set of 3 could be a tough pill to swallow.
they have to price it accordingly to the market. yes, we are crazy for legends bots. but we aren't stupid when it comes to the price there is a real fine line of what will sell and what is just too damn high.
i feel anything over 45-50ish is just pushing it.
if it is way overpriced i will just wait to buy them from uidaman for basically half off. from what i have heard it might be the exact same factory and just their b-stock bots.
In an ideal world this would be true.
Here's where my head is about price and these particular figures. Clearly they can do as they like with pricing, and we can get a sense of what it might be based on prior releases. But this is a potential gold mine of multi-purchases. Also, as a few people have pointed out, the designs on these guys are a bit more simplistic. I'm thinking, it would be smart if they'd made choices in order to have a lower than their usual price point to promote individual buyers to want to buy these guys a bunch of times and make an army. Too high, and people buy the one set and that's it (or skip if it's WAY too high). And it's not like they aren't aware of it--feel free to flip back to the pics with multiple Insecticons in them. I wonder if they already have this in mind, and might have a very agreeable price point as a result. It would certainly be nice.
On the flip of it, I could be wrong and the set will be priced on the same level as everything else.
Flipper was pretty cheap as they go, and he's not an uncomplicated bot.. nice paint, lots of little hinges. If each insecticon is like Bee and they can sell as a three pack so as to not have people cherry pick one or two, and save on packaging, I would expect the price to be around (Bee x 3 - [nominal fee on packaging] )
So basically he's Legends+? SWEET.
He'll looks awesome next to Magic Square's Ultra Magnus.
These are as tall as NA Bumblebee, if that's of any consideration.
Price is $55/set on ShowZ. I just preordered 3.
Parts count on Bbb is ~28
Shrapnel is ~19
Bombshell is ~21
Kickback is ~26
ShowZ has them listed for $55 for the set. Which means Bababobo and HZJ should have them for a few bucks less.
Preorders are showing up, BBTS $64.
Says August for release.
TFdirect also has a preorder deposit,
And robotoybase also has a preorder deposit
So does showZ have decent prices for shipping to the USA? And do you have to purchase a certain amount to get the free shipping?
Their shipping is free, but takes 2-3 weeks from sent to delivery. My last 3 orders arrived in PA in 16 days. All orders are free shipping.
I like how they come with a snack so they have something to munch on while being shipped.
Now bring on the Deluxe Insecticons
Yeah, hope they continue to do minibot/con sized stuff alongside carbots etc.
BBTS has them up for preorder now.
That is a really good deal. You get $3 off with their double deposit program. So $52. Its retail price in China is $42. So showz is charging barely a mark up once you factor shipping.
