I think MST went down the rabbit hole with their MP scaled Prime last year. That and its million recolors seemed to be their main focus. I got it and I'm really not collecting that scale. They did a great job with it IMO. But I hope this year sees them back and focused on Legends.

Yeah, but one was Optimus. And they seemed to rush those S1 Decepticon prototypes ahead of the Datsuns and Stunticons, kinda like "Hey! Before you pick up NA S1 Decepticons take a look at these!"

I'm loving the look and size of Brawn and Outback, the scale is perfect. I still wish they could fix the green/tan neckpieces as that really breaks the overall look, but I'll just paint that part myself when I get it in hand. I probably wouldn't have double dipped on Outback but it's a two-pack and I want Brawn in both modes, so... Outback gets the same treatment. At under US$40 for the pair from TaoBao, the price is acceptable.
Honestly? after seeing what Takara was able to do with their new Bumblebee, in spite of how badly they screwed up large parts of it, I can definitely see MS doing something a little less chunky than NA's. NA Bumblebee is great but he is awfully bloated. Takara Bumblebee 2 has some amazing elements, and if they hadn't been intent on gimmicks like opening doors and room for a melted Spike to sit in, I think they could have done something even better. MS will probably do something similar to the new Bee... but I suspect it will be too tall for my NA collection.

Hey NA. How about you make a slightly tweaked Flipper with wrist swivel and a ball-joint head and sell it as a Bumblebee and Cliffjumper 2-pack? I don't think anyone would mind that.

He is just a tad bit bigger than NA Bee. Sorry missed the conversation one page back. EA5B3095-03E0-4407-919D-A87FF9101F36.jpeg

Glad I prepaid for these at ShowZ. Heads are still a tad too big for my taste but it is accurate. Glad they are very close to Bee's size. Still bugs me they didn't do Cliff yet or a red toy version of Bee since they love repaints so much. Still, I will buy every minibot Newage puts out. Just wish Cosmos was better...

Didn't expect these until after CNY; 2020 is starting off strong for Legends. I am looking forward to these to more than anything else NA showed off at the last convention.
Wonder what they have planned for the rest of the year?

I figure Sideswipe and Wheeljack are most likely. A NA Wheeljack will probably put the TW one to shame.

Dream entries in 2020 from NA would be Hound or Mirage. But I’ll take any and all car bots.

But make sure you don't include Bumblebee's jetpack - it'll need to be included with a repaint that never had a jetpack in the cartoon (or that just didn't exist in the cartoon). Just like the original's jetpack came with Bugbite or Goldbug (not sure which one actually because I didn't care about either of them). Just like Starscream's coronation gear comes with the clear repaint that I have no interest in rather than coming with the version that actually wore it. Can't wait for NA Sideswipe whose jetpack comes with Tiger Tracks or Clampdown (or whatever the diaclone repaints are called), NA Optimus whose ax and matrix come with Delta Magnus, NA Wheeljack whose energon rods or toolkit come with Marlboro.

Also, who are we kidding: NA isn't going to bundle Bee and Cliffjumper. They'll bundle him with Hubcap or Bumper or some other nobody character that nobody would buy if it weren't for the bundle.

Sorry for the rant - I've just gotten fed up with the way NA does business. Their figures are great but the pack-ins are more and more blatantly being used to try to get us to buy the less demanded or obscure characters. I'm not thrilled with this Brawn with the headflap fused to his head but for $20-30 I'd have bought him anyway. But I'm not paying $45 for Brawn and then trying to sell off Outback or throw him in a drawer or whatever. Just like I'm not paying $45 a piece for seekers just because they comes with flight stands.

I see your cranky-pants accessory didn't get bundled with a different forum member.

The jetpack came with Bugbite, but I thought that was because he used one in a comic or something.

Maybe multiple repaints had the jet pack. Dunno, but I do know Goldbug had one. Luckily I did want that figure. But yeh, I understand the sentiment...
