By not taking photos with their Flipper, it's like they're deliberately teasing us how these really scale

Why pair them? Because money, that's why. It's why NA is including the coronation set with ghost Starscream and not regular Starscream. It's why they're including 1/12 of a space bridge with each seeker to try to entice people to buy more of their forty-freakin'-dollar Legends Transformers. They know almost everybody wants Brawn and hardly anybody wants Outback so they're going to force us to take Outback if we want Brawn.

So if Brawn and Outback are H19 and H20, and Reflector is H22...who is H21?

If they do have a Prime ready, which certainly could be the case, he would be H21 and the Shredder version would be something like H21N or S or what have you.

It’s really the only hint we have to go on. With NA however, it could be anything. Might be another car bot.

Knowing how Newage likes to use their packages again and again for recolors I don't think it is smart to make a set out of Brawn and Outback.

I want both figures but making a set could make me skip on recolors of the figures.

Just checked on Action Robo and Brawn and Outback are a set. The Turtles will be coming also as a set. Set A Red & Purple. Set B Orange & Blue.

I'd wager we don't see any more recolors of this. The turtles are taking that slot.

    I think so too.

Wasn't thinking about the Turtels as I saw them as a recolor of Brawn, totally forgetting (need more sleep) that Outback is basically a repaint of Brawn.

Really like the novelty of the Turtle-Brawns so I think I'm in for the whole ride.

I bet that by making it a two-pack, they make a mold more viable if there aren't tons of repaint options. ie, the datsuns and seekers and vans are all easy to cover your costs, you know everyone who buys one will probably buy two-four. For Megs, even without the toy version etc, he's a really popular character, you can be sure of a certain amount of success. For combiners, you know one sale probably means five sales, and every character sold helps sell the others.

But for the guys with less repaint options, I bet it makes covering costs more of a gamble. By selling as a two-pack, even though it's slightly more pricey to produce, the higher price tag covers the design costs quicker and mitigates the loss from lack of repaint options. I bet it's the major reason we don't get a Mirage or Hound anytime soon, because it's one and done (other than the transparent guys or toy decos vs toon, but even there someone might only buy one or the other, not both).

For Mirage you can do a translucent one, the red version, the SG one or the GoBot Slicks.

For Hound you have the SG version and a desert colored one called Detritus.

Magic Square originally tried to sell Seaspray and Beachcomber separately, but then pulled the pre-orders and solicited the two pack.

I can personally live with this as they are two separate and distinct characters, but Outback and Brawn? for some fans who are not that familiar with Outback, including yours truly, that's just like getting a knock-off of Brawn. Although I try not to make fuss of things like these and don't see any problems getting these two packed together, I just don't know what to do with Outback as 1) I really don't know him 2) I have no attachment to this character, sentimental / nostalgic or otherwise 3) I could have spent half of what I paid for with something else. but yeah I guess, to each his own.

I can understand that; before IDW I can't say I really cared about any S3 minibot outside of Wheelie and Outback (And I had Swerve and Tailgate as a kid).

I might feel the same as you after I see the price.

Yeah, and honestly if Iron Factory announced S3 minibots at the same time as Magic Square and NewAge I'd probably pick up the Iron Factory version and skip the others.

Is it sad that I like the Turtle versions waaaaay more than the original intended designs?
