Ouch. What the heck happened to these?
Faces are just bizarre and the off-colour green/tan at the collar is a problem.
It pushes Brawn just a little too far into “Man-At-Arms” territory for me:

The ridiculously outsized windscreens is distracting, although I guess it’s at least cartoon accurate, as wonky as it looks.

The cannon for Outback is a nice touch as is the drill. Hopefully we get some additional accessories on these. They went all out with extras for Megs and the Seekers. Hope for something interesting with these - I’d love some orange Autobot blaster effects!
It’s also very important that there’s a way for Brawn to wield NA Megatrons cannon!

Big question: do I need Outback? I was planning on sticking with Season 1 only, but Smokescreen looked so good I had to pick him up. And of course the Coneheads are a must to
fill out the Decepticon ranks. I may stick with Season 1&2 for now, see how NA go if they get to movie bots, and maybe just skip season 3 altogether.

Yes! Definitely important Brawn can wield Megatron's cannon; maybe by favorite action scene from S1.
And yeah, Outback's cannon is a nice touch.

There are so many more G1 characters at legends scale that I want, and I don’t want to wait years for them. So a couple of weeks ago I decided to start making my own custom, poseable legends scale figures (non-transforming). Unfortunately, I decided to start with brawn. Doh!

NA continues with their amazing leg transformations... love how the wheel wells flip together to make the legs and hide the wheels.

The FansToys MP-scale version does the same - it’s a neat idea.

Since I already have MST Huffer and zero interest in replacing him, I will probably pass on this Brawn. At least unless this one turns out to scale well with the Huffer I have which I doubt. That said, I think I may go for this Outback. I don't care if Outback is smaller than Huffer and whatever Brawn I eventually get. In fact, it would be kind of neat if he had his own separate transformation/size so he doesn't look so much like a copy of Brawn.

That said, they did a fab job with these.

So is this going to be a 2 pack? I hope not since I only want Brawn.

That is pretty amazing, and while it something I could have overlooked I amazed they took the extra effort to get grey on legs.
And again a few very specific cartoon bonus items that I wouldn't have missed, but appreciate.

Am I the only weirdo on here who has a soft spot for Outback? Pretty excited for these.

These two look fantastic. I have no issues with Brawn’s face now that I see these solicitation photos.

Nope, one the few toys I had as a kid (and I reckon I can still put my hands on it, too). I also have fond recall of Furman's stories with him from the UK comic.

That gun is spot on, and seeing actual articulation is amazing :)

Okay these new pics clear up the face. It’s a lot nicer. Still don’t like the coloured parts at the collar.
And I’m not totally in love with the shins. On the one hand it’s amazing they managed to hide the wheels away. On the other hand we’re back to a Brawn with generic looking lower legs. FT really impressed by capturing that classic G1 flared trousers look with their Brawn. Difference between MP and Legends and all that of course but the wheel cover shins are an unfortunate added bulge.
But Brawns a pretty secondary character to me and OutBack may be skipped all together so I can live with it.

Yes, but I have to give them some credit for adding the little detail molding on the knees, seems like something a lot of companies would have passed over. The legs have something of the flavor of the toon anyway, even though they didn’t get that specific wedge toe like FT did.

Anything is possible but all their other redecos have been sold separately so I wouldn’t expect these to be a two-fer.

I always appreciate it when companies differentiate mold mates a bit. Given the scale I think NA has done a decent job of distinguishing Outback with some judicious color apps and sculpt. Would have been nice if they had perhaps given Outback’s hip skirt a bit of a different tooling or something.

Well i am very down with these. Only draw is hope they are little bigger than bee. Wish outback had slightly different transformation to give his unique features.

Faces are good. Really like that they went toy accurate alt because that will deliver show accurate minibot botmodes easily. So really good solution, bravo.

Possible redecos anyone? Take some guesses.

Theyre currently releasing the seekers. It would depend how many colorways they make (and that may be a lot) before they get to reflector and brawn
