True but, scale issues aside, there's something to be said for Transformers that are just about the same size as Hot Wheels, from a novelty perspective if nothing else.

 

I love this scale. Because, in Hong Kong, 300 square feet is considered a family apartment. Yay for NewAge!

 

Yeah, now that I have Jazz and Prowl in hand they seem too small too go with Cosmos and BB/Goldbug.

Probably still going to get one of the Bluestreaks, but I am going to be selective with my NewAge purchases.

 

That’s true. They are also too small for MS Beachcomber, Seaspray, Huffer, Etc and the likes of Grapple/Inferno tower over them.

Weird! I like that little clear alternators Shockwave a lot.
But why? No idea, I just dig it.

That's my scale - Hot Wheels cars. Robot mode is secondary.
But I am finding that there are some Legends that do that with the larger carbot scale. Magic Square Lamborghinis, The ToyWorld Lancias, they are both Hot Wheel cars and the larger carbot size. And heck, if I can get the car modes to match, then matching robot modes are kinda nice too. That's not the only reason why I am waiting on ToyWorld's Jazz - it's because their Wheeljack has full racing livery accurate car mode. I want the same for Jazz.

 

wait what? Toyworld is coming out with a Jazz? you have any teaser pictures for that? i'm with you for the same reason - accurate livery - something that blew my mind with Toyworld Jazz. the Alitalia livery is iconic. if Toyworld will release Jazz in full Martini livery, might as well extend it to Mirage with a proper Gitanes livery.

EDIT: i should be clear about this, I'm looking forward to a Legends scale Jazz, and if possible, Mirage

 

I am quite happy with RushBeats as my Jazz figure. I plan to get the NA Capoeira(sp?) figure just to have this mold because it's pretty cool.

 

I thought I was going to feel this way too, but these Newage figures have made me realize how limited the shoulder articulation is on the Iron Factory carbots. And I think Newage does their face sculpts slightly better than IF; Newage seems to have more character and less sterile looking.

 

I sort of wish I could just order the hand and gun-hand from the transparent Shockwave, so that I could give my solid-colored one his proper transparent purple Shockwave extremities.

I mean, I could get it and swap them, but what am I gonna do with a tiny Alternators Shockwave/SG Longarm who has a transparent body and solid grey hands?
