I legit completely forgot Tailgate was in the cartoon at all. Thought this was not another toon pack in but some odd beat redeco. Just thought the Decepticon logo would look good on him.

I honestly think the color scheme lends itself to being a Decepticon, but Starscream's also looks more Autobot to me.

I think it appears only in the Ark attack by Trypticon scene

I totally thought you were going for an homage to the IDW comic, where Tailgate briefly decides he wants to be a Decepticon (before learning more about their history and changing his mind). But hey, that means there’s a precedent! :)

Hmm... I can't unsee the 'first aid' crosses on each forearm and the messy hollowness of the feet.

I have to say, pictures don't do him justice but that's so often the way when the pictures are so much bigger than the figures themselves...

A lot of the "issues" like the cross on his forearms and his lower legs look just fine ii person and at this scale. I love the way the hood folds into the back and the ab-crunch coupled with the ball jointed neck makes him super-expressive.

I let Tailgate go to a friend as I was only bothered by Windcharger, but they're both well served and fit right in.

I find that his copies often have paint chips on them…but I don’t know why. Perhaps they’re test copies?

I’ve noticed the same with Mangmotions figures

That would make sense, since he often beats everyone else to the punch by such a wide margin.

Man do I love Windcharger and Tailgate so much - Fantastic tiny little figures - They are unbelievably light is weight especially in car mode but that is a huge plus for me - they have the perfect clink of plastic if you toss them around in your hand. The robot modes are so tiny and so detailed. Transformation was mostly good but still fun.

Almost makes me want to make these my swan song of collecting as I approach 50 this year - Started in 1984 with Windcharger and end with it too lol. No I have to wait for at least the EX "toy head" version.

Wasp might be one of my favorite NA designs. He looks great! Having the black on his legs extend from the knee to his waist really helps the proportions.

Fili/Dalton came in today and they really are marvelous. Very impressed with them all round, makes me wish Brawn/Outback got a redo to be on the same level. Joints are great too. Great pack!

EDIT: Forgot to add that I'm very pleased with the white matching on Dalton, good job NA!

Got my Flu and Dalton set today. To say that I have been looking forward to these would be an understatement. Tailgate was one of my first TF toys as a kid.

Overall not bad. I'm a tad disappointed in the lower legs not having together a little better but it's forgivable compared to things like NA Wheeljacks saggy abs. The biggest concern I have is with the screwed in bits on the wrist and leg that are definitely way too tight one way and loose the other because the screw is actually turning with the part. Not sure why these weren't pinned instead but it concerns me greatly that I'm going to have stepped screw holes or cracking before too long.

Give me a Decepticharge and Arcee (or Blackarachnia) 2 pack! Heck they could do an Overdrive version too. Double heck it seems like it would make some sense to do an Animated style Bumblebee too too go against Wasp.

TRIPLE HECK why not a black and silver/blue Wipeout to stand in for the Japanese Generations figure that came with their release of Reveal the Shield Windcharger.

Goodness, Windy has had maybe the weirdest journey of any TF character in the homage/repaint/variant department and 90% of it is because of Binaltech.
