Wow that lucky cat Voltron looks really good and scales pretty well with legends, gonna have to go pick one up.

Hey man… I’m the same as you (except I’m clinically diagnosed as having ADD). I too have a desk that’s overcrowded with NA Transformers, but nobody except my wife gives me grief about it because I work remotely (Thanks, pandemic?). I also do all my best thinking in the shower (though not during lunch). But back to Omega Supreme. I’m curious why everyone is so hyped for the Pangu version. It looks good, but all we’ve seen is a gray/unpainted mold and we haven’t seen any images that show articulation, nor any hint at how it transforms. Is the $80 price tag official or just a guess? Not trying to stir the pot… these are just my observations and questions (to all… not just the guy I’m replying to). :)

People are hyped because it's an undersized ko of dx9 gabriel, which was a solid figure and arguably the best omega supreme currently available. We don't know anything about plastic quality and paint, but the assumption is that the engineering and articulation should be mostly the same. Granted, they seem to have simplified some of the joints (e.g. claws lost some articulation), so it's anyone's guess how much the final product will differ compared to the renders they've shown. The $80 price tag is from showz, and I'm pretty sure this is the official price? Bombusbee has it for 55 before shipping, so 80 shipped sounds about right.

Ugh, that would drive me crazy. If you're putting everything away at the end of shift, then it's not really your space. Having my space be mine is very important to me. They should just let you work from home

Ha! I love it! From now on this is what legends means to me.

Like @poor man said, it's based on a figure we already know to be solid. But yeah, it looks like they've simplified things. Maybe too much. The simplified claws suck but the wings I think are the deal breaker for me. Yeah, I'm gonna cancel it and use that $80 saved to make me feel better about whatever this guy ends up costing.

Thank you! That's the Wei Jiang oversized KO of DX9's Hulkie. He could be had for a pittance back in the day - I think I spent something like $30 on him - but the quality definitely isn't great. I happily replaced him with MST's Devastator (got the ex version of Newage's for my toy display).

I love it regardless of scale. Show z has preorder for restock on metallic version (which I have) but no regular version (in case you want original cat colours, like yellow lion in yellow vs gold and less silver bits). Articulation is limited though, but feels premium with diecast.

*pushes up nerd glasses* It really doesn't if you consider the size of the human that would fit into the TFs and Voltron. The Voltron is way underscaled.

    You guys........me talking about scale

The only thing I think Michael is really missing is butterfly shoulder joints. I really think they help elevate a figure's poseability to a higher level. It may have required some more clever engineering but based on the transformation, I think it would be possible. Regardless, I am very excited for this release.

Newage seems to have their finger on the pulse of the Transformer community so I am sure they know of the affinity for Omega Spreem. I fully expect to see a repaint for him eventually.

no humans were harmed when mass shifted to make them fit into that Voltron.

This guy is probably close to release. I hope NA will reveal their repaints soon. Interested to know if EX will be much different. Hopefully it won't be delayed like UM or MIA like Inferno, seekers, IH/Ratchet.

Pretty sure after Chinese New Year ends (Feb 1) NA will have lots of things ready to go or at least new announcements based on the NA Weibo. I can't wait! Best 3p company out there IMO

Michael is looking really nice and hopefully I can pick him up when I have funds to do so. Someone mentioned Lucky Cat Voltron and I second that. He is awesome.

Holidays and moving hit me hard and need to sell some to pay them bills lol.

For me it comes down to surface features, cost and in-necessary gimmicks.
    3) I have a bunch of figures with lights and sounds and such and they never get used so are pointless to me.
    2) New Age does look like it’s going to be substantially more expensive and given Legends is my secondary collection, MP figures get priority for spending.
    1) But most important is the look and surface detailing. To my eye, Pangu is a cleaner smoother more toony finish, which is what appeals to me. Extraneous greebles and detailing is a turn off for me. There’s not a heap of extra detailing on this but when combined with points 2 and 3 it makes my choice easier.
Ultimately I just like the look of Pangu‘s.

I find it so weird that the small "legends" scale these days can be as big if not bigger than the g1 versions..... Like Ymir for example.
