I saw some Chinese TF forum says the price (in China, excluding shipping) is ~8xx rmb. Given its weight (800-900g), we can estimate a rough total price.

This thing is amazing! I don't know who sold their spark to Unicron to get that arm transformation to work, but hats off to them! At the moment, I'm not too interested in an Omega Supreme figure, but if Newage re-releases this mold in GADEP colors down the line, count me in!

I saw the thread title of Newage Michael (the product number meant nothing to me since I don't follow NA) and ignored it thinking it was just Starscream again. At least when MMC reuses a name it is for the same character. Aren't there other archangels besides Gabriel and Michael they could have used (those are the only 2 I know admittedly)?

The engineering is impressive, not something I say about NA often, and it is one of the better looking figures NA has done. That said I feel like PT looks better other than the head which NA did better. I also think I will like the look of a theoretical MS Omega better as well (just based on a very consistent history with few exceptions), but I've been collecting every version of Omega and I'm not going to stop now. I just wish this was at a better time for me financially to get all the repaints.

I still get depressed that MMC's Spreem was an April Fool's joke.

Don't forget Mechabot-1! (I couldn't find an assembled picture quickly, spent all my free time today reading through this thread)

I don't expect an MS counter in the short term (I would be very happy to be wrong). They have been focused on the Season 1 cast like few companies have ever been really focused for any length of time. Since they showed the 1984 full set silhouettes the only exceptions have been the Stunticons who were announced before those silhouettes were shown and remolds/add ons to S1 figures like Magnus.

TE did start BW, I really like their Scorponok, but obviously didn't continue as they have gone through other company names. I wonder if it was a sales issue or just their interest level.

Omega did make one S3 appearance, The Big Broadcast of 2006. He did get a name drop in Grimlock's New Brain as being away on a mission.

    Gotcha on that. Screenshot_20230103-162536_Chrome.jpg

Personally I'd prefer a Convertors Omegatron myself.

But Omega Doom does have a nice color scheme.

It’s so much fun to compare the DX9/Pangu and Mew Age robot modes. Which robot mode is more accurate really depends on the episode/scene. Both companies do a terrific job capturing the likeness.

I think New Age is going for this look. Note the bare upper legs, protruding chest, wider body, a relatively small claw hand and overall slightly stubbier proportions.

Meanwhile DX9/Pangu is closer to this. Flatter chest, bigger claw hand, details on his upper legs. They also got the orientation of his left forearm right, with the tube looking part facing forward instead of to the side.

It’s fantastic that there are options. The base mode is a pretty huge deal to me so I’m going with New Age, even though there are some aspects of the robot mode design I prefer on DX9/Pangu. That motorized tank, man. Damn! So good!

Did Magic Square reveal their version of this at all. I can't remember.

The funny thing is, they were designed by the same person! Maybe you could almost think of NA Michael as DX9 Gabriel 2.0

that's how i see it basically. i have my fingers crossed that this gets an upsized release with a couple of tweaks. it would be a shame to leave this on the legends side of the map.

Yes, two images of the grey prototype.

!!Update!! This was a random custom from someone. Not from Magic Square.
