MS legends Prime V2 cost as much as NA’s. MS made their legends Optimus V2 before their MP V2.

Even an older era one like DX9 Dutch costed $50 when it released. That was in the POTP era. Which was ridiculous expensive for that time.

What are the cheap era legends figures you are thinking of?

Hell IF Windblade was $20 and transformed like a $5 dollar general Hasbro legends figure

    still ignoring the omega situation.

like I kept repeating, they would have been cheaper if they hadn’t made them insanely more complicated. 3p in general got good at increasing more and more what you got for the prices we paid, so legends would likely have been the same. Even then the example you gave of a $50 prime is still cheaper than a $120+ legends prime, proving my point.

Regardless it’s kinda pointless to continue it since there’s no real discussion happening regarding it here.

This looks incredible! Is there enough difference with the toon+toy for an EX version to happen? They will of course do an Omega Sentinel (as they should) and I wouldn't even be surprised to see them swing for an Omega Spreem.

I'd like to chime in about price for this. I feel like I was harsh and hasty about it. Yes, I still think this will be close to/over $200, but no, I don't think it's over priced. 11 inches tall. hyper articulated. motorized. high parts count. paint and engineering and quality. This will be absolutely worth the asking price. I paid close to 200 shipped for Carnifex back at release and I don't think that was overpriced.

If you can’t really see any difference between WFC and NA, then you should definitely stick with WFC.

For many of us in 3P land, the WFC Omega looks terrible.

Omega is about the same size as a 3P MP figure and will cost around the same price as a 3P MP. Yeah if you make it on par with a Hasbro Core level figure in quality it would be like $80. Something on par with a modern Commander figure. Even if IF makes one which will have a simple retail like transformation. Remember IF DJD big members who are Voyager sized and aren’t chasing that MP feel are $60 through Chinese shops.

I mean maybe the same price as an oversized or much larger 3p mp figure. Like I already said it costs almost the same as the MP omega supremes already released before it. I’m not comparing it to retail figures, idk why that seems to be the go to when someone discusses pricing.

I like how the shoulders are formed from parts of the rocket tube turned inside-out.

I wish the arms were a bit heftier. They're a bit scrawny compared to the legs, and especially the torso.

Look at modern 3P MP prices. Fans toys, unique toys, Planet X are all selling MP stuff at $150 - $200 today that’s around Omega’s height. Omega will be bigger than a MP carbot.

    Planet X PX-C04 Cacus Grimlock

    FansToys FT-29 Quietus Cyclonus

    Unique Toys R-04 Nero Galvatron

I love the work that went into making the arms non-partsforming, I wish they could have done the same with the main body. An Omega Supreme that could separate into a tank, a rocket, and an “everything else” component—each with a self-contained transformation—would be ideal for me.

Out of all New Age’s recent stuff, I honestly think Gabriel here is probably the weakest for me. His legs are equal in size for the thighs and lower legs, which is correct anatomically but looks off for a gigantic robot.

And Gabriel? is NA a division of DX9?

FT is a good example of a company overcharging so not really the best to use. As to UT, Galvatron is not only larger but also a movie bot with a lot going on. There’s little reason a simplistic design like Omega supreme should be the same price as it.

Just because something is the same price doesn’t mean it should be.

Former dx9 people that are now over there. 2 separate companies.

That motorized tank has me considering this. I miss gimmicks and playability like this.

I mean...that's kinda what Omega already is in that video, it's really impossible to make a non-partsforming Omega being quite honest.

Do you believe that the G1 cartoon should be the baseline for modern day G1 style toys?
If so, I think the proportions are pretty close.
