Yeah that's fair. I wasn't even thinking about him. I feel like the whole scramble city thing is the reason we haven't really seen anything else on their Menasor. They probably have to have all of the scramble city combiners worked out before they can make any of them. The nice part about that tho is that once we see news of Menasor from Newage, it means a lot of their other combiners won't be far behind, or vise versa if they reveal one of the other combiners before Menasor. I do hope we get some new combiners from Magic Square and Newage next year or at most the year after. I'm dying for someone to take a stab at a G1 Bruticus. Bruticus is my second favorite character after Devastator.

 

I expect a lot of people have forgotten NA even announced them at this point (plus newer people who never knew). I guess it could be argued whether he counts as "currently" announced considering how long it has been since then with no news.

Seems like a nice figure, though shouldn't it be smaller? I do like the visible complexity, although the brute-force transformation design is a lot less clever than the one they stole.

This looks like such a fun and sturdy little figure though, definitely will get the Ironhide version

 

I’m surprised by the negativity, as I was thinking they look pretty great. it’s good to see everyone’s opinion, though.

It blows away anything Hasbro or Takara can come up with on any scale, to say the least.

 

Hm, I'm usually very much an NA guy, but in this case I think MS did a far better job of things design-wise.

Now if MS can release their Ratchet/Ironhide with some decent paint, much as they did with Soundwave/Megatron, I think that'd be enough to use their versions for my display.

If there was a time to drop such an announcement, this is it.

Given the way the white paint scraped off of the chest of their Ultra Magnus, I’m a bit worried about the parts that are painted on clear plastic…

 

I'm definitely hitting that with a clear coat upon arrival.

 

I can deal with the forearms, but woof! That alt mode is pretty rough. It doesn’t hide the panels well at all (which is understandable because there looks to be 8,000 of them, but still)… If you’re a fan of vehicles, this is a tough one to look at. I’m looking forward to the inevitable video. That will give a better idea of what these things look like and if the transformation will be fun.

also, why did they choose to include a clear windshield? It’s not like there’s anything interesting to see in there. I would think red plastic with a painted windshield would lead to a more durable toy, with the added benefit of matching the side windows. Weird decision on NA’s part.

 

Transformation seems cool...interesting that one of the size comparisons was the hologram huge autobot from that one episode...same one magic square did a stand of in their tonkastator release

It looks better here than it does on the promo pics… Stupid filters ! And the size comparisons show that he looks good besides OP, and he looks a bit smaller than Artfire/Inferno. He’s just a tad taller than V1. Feels quite right, if you ask me. The alt mode is clearly more blocky than the V1 one, though…

Looks like they mistransformed the sides of the windshield for both, though : it stays in alt mode (wider) while in robot mode for Ironhide and stays in robot mode (narrower and more square) while in alt mode for Ratchet !

 

Interesting, it does not look as gappy as in the product shot. It looks acceptable -- except for the massive forearms.

I noticed this as well. I couldn't decide if he was just showing off both options by using one on each figure or if he just didn't notice to rotate them (or forgot).

 

They really look a lot better in this video! Looking forward to them now!!
