I got the F edition over the normal release. It’s stable, in the end it just lacks the heft of a figure with the metal. Personally I think it’s worth it and I don’t miss the metal bits.

Where are you seeing that? It looks like the same hinge as the others to me.

 

Looks the same to me. It’s just all fingers on 1 hinge.

 

Look at the finger below the thumb... my original cant do this...

 

I think it’s all angle. I have the F edition too. I assume it would have been on that one. They would have been manufactured at around the same time.



If you zoom in on the photo above you can see the sculpt is the same in all hands and there is no extra hinge on the SG.

 

Shame that all the versions of this toy are so samey (with the exception of the black SG version). I would have preferred if if they had ditched a couple of the superfluous white ones and maybe added some other colours (a blue one might have been nice).

I don’t usually mind being a NewAge completist but getting these identikit Jetfires hasn’t exactly been the most fulfilling collecting experience, despite the excellence of the base figure.

 

looks so good...wonder if anyone working on helmet lasers/antennae...i don't care if it doesn't work for transformation so long as you can remove them for transformation. can't wait to open mine later tonight.

 

Yeah the Pearl white figure is pretty lame. I also see the original figure to be pointless too. Like Diacast to me is a bonus but if it’s missing I don’t miss it. The F version a better deal.

 

Yeah, the F version is fine. Had it been the ‘base’ release I don’t think there would have been too many complaints.

this clear version box design. its a clear homage to some vintage box for something....can't quite put my finger on it. anyone know? so far the original was an homage to the takatoku valkyrie box, the EX obviously the vintage jetfire g1 box...this transparent version looks familiar but i can't put my finger on it...

Right. After getting the 1st version, only really care about the "toy" deco. SG is nice, but if I was going to get a SG Jetfire, I'd go all in for a hastak commander class version. Transparent looks nice in pics, but no. F and EXR seem fine on thier own, but pointless if you already have the base release. Oh well, means I don't have to go nuts spending more money I shouldn't.

 

Dang! Regular version is only $74 on ShowZ now?? How is he the same price as their Grimlock while being so much bigger / more complex?  

 

That’s the friend version. Regular is $90

 

in this case, F version is the better value regular version.
