Is there any news on if Kitz will be shipping their Jetfire in November? I think that's the date they have on their website, but when I asked, they predictably ignored me.

 

They've said nothing more aside from "Thanks! Here're s'more pre-orders for our limited product", lol.

When’s the toy deco coming out? I’ve got some new leg armour waiting for him.

 

Did you print that yourself? I saw on ebay that a guy sells printed original G1 Jetfire parts. They'd obviously be too large for NA/MS Skyfires, but it did get me thinking about the possibility.

Are you just planning on adding leg armor or also the rest of the pieces?

 

Made it myself. If you look me up in Radicons I’ve done a few other 3D printed projects.

As for the other armour pieces, I’m torn on the arm armour. Might be easiest to paint the top of the arm red. There’s no attachment point I can see there unlike the legs. I’ll actually have to transform this toy first to see what’s what.

The wing packs…. The swing wings might not be able to withstand the extra weight.

The toy deco is getting a new masked head. I’d just have to add the four ear cannons. Need a copy to see if it’s possible.

 

Maybe for the arm pieces, make them friction fit? Or a really small lip that snaps over that lower third panel line?

As for the boosters... Someone posted a pic of them separated, but there wasn't a way to connect them to the back. Maybe design something that connects them when split? OR, remove them entirely and design some new boosters and utilize the wings?

Not having my copy opened I can't really tell what's possible. Just spitballing.

 

Waterslide decals for H45, H45B, and H45 EX. Which is interesting considering the Shattered Glass and Toy versions haven't released so we obviously can't have any pictures of them applied.

 

U.N.Spacy AND USAF on the same slide? Cool waterslides but not for me. If I’m going Macross UN Spacy markings only.

If I do arm armour it’s going to partform. Due to transformation there’s no space in the backpack for them. As for the lip, no can do. These arms weren’t designed for add on armour like the old Takatoku/Bandai toys.

As for the boosters…a lot of work to remove and replace so that’s a nope.

Design pieces to stabilize if separated…it’s a really tight fit and the piece would be asymmetrical. Also dealing with floppy pods on the back until a theoretical stabilizer piece is made…. I think I’ll let DNA or someone like them figure that out. As a homage I’m okay with the one pod backpack.

 

I was mentioning in another thread that I received this guy, MP MS OP V2, and DS Blaster in three consecutive days. If the three I’ve barely touched this, I don’t know why but it doesn’t do it for me, at least not yet.
I don’t dislike anything about it, I’m just not drawn to handle/play with it, strangely. At first I thought it was because it was so large, but I’m giving blaster ample handles… Maybe I need t give it a little play time.

 

From Newage, EXR is actually the premium painted version. I notice that some parts like hands, hip and landing gears are not fully painted.
