Right on, Right on. The MP44 really caught my eye. Is that head sculpt something that can be purchased? Swapped? 3d printed?

Got mine today after work...a couple of thoughts:

For whatever reason, IN MY MIND, this thing looked like a brick in the photos...it's not as heavy as I'd imagined. Not a negative, just an observation...feels fine. All the joints seem okay. If I hold it the way I normally hold figures, then the backpack comes loose...it's not that it's a poor connection to me, it's that my normal "grab position" is where the bottom of the backpack lies, which makes it come loose. This is my 4th Newage figure...it's a big boy. I have him pictured next to the Jinbao Starscream for reference. I really dig it. I remember getting Jetfire as a gift before going to school as a kid and not wanting to go because I was too excited to get him, so Skyfire/Jetfire is right up there with Blaster and Jazz for me.

in other news, Show Z is trying to get me to collect cards?...I had now idea they were shipping different characters...got Optimus the first time and now Beachcomber...interesting...carry on.

Easily MP57 for me, but the NA isnt bad. It's just that he has those Daca Kronos proportions

 

Some owners reported a loose waist/ab crunch issue and when I received mine I immediately noticed that mine suffers from it too. The problem is not the waist joint or ab crunch themselves, they are rock solid, it's the opening where the base of the ab crunch joint sits that is the issue. They seemed to have given it too much tolerance so the base of the spine can move quite a bit inside the "bowl" that is inside his crotch. See the pictures below, the "bowl" is marked with an arrow.





The solution is to open his rear from behind and do whatever thickening method you usually use to tighten loose joints - I simply cut some paper to very small squares and pushed them one by one with a pincer around the base so that it has less space to move around. To access this part you only have to undo the 4 screws on his butt.

Looks great but I'm a little disappointed by the lack of hand and face options. The gun tab sliding into the hands was a nice touch though. Joints all friction seems like it will become a problem as well but for now everything is tight and solid.

 

Am I going crazy or did ShowZ raise the price on this figure recently? I could've sworn it was $90 but when I checked their website just now it said $119.99?

 

When they raised it to $120 they added the $30 coupon, that was a while ago.

 

It's been discussed a few times a few pages back. JETFIRE30 is the coupon code in the thumbnails and explicitly stated in the product description further down. ShowZ and BBB both did this due to "NA setting the price" which many, including myself, think is NA kowtowing to pressure from American retailers who were probably losing profits due to the vast price difference (90 vs 160) between China and US stores.
