Hopefully the price of this Shockwave is close to the Magic Square one, for sure prefer the look of this one over MS's due to the fact this has more of a slim less chunky look than the MS figure

 

Agreed. Best looking Shockwave we ever had in terms of proprtions.
Newage got it just right.
I haven't seen any other version translating the old man fat uni-boob look into 3D.
Cartoon Shockwave looked chunky and awkward and this toy represents that look best.
All modern Shockwave toys aim either for a lanky look or the Marvel brawling brainiac look.

 

I feel that NA figures in general are bit chunky and I don't mind that in legends scale

 

Megatron went against that, but I agree.
If you look at their Datsuns and Jazz mold as well as their Seeker mold they do have that aesthetic.
MS Shockwave is a bigger guy, but he looks more beefy than chunky IMO.

 

if you like chunky, then you should check out MS figures. they tend to be much more blocky/chunky compared to NA.

 

I wonder when NewAge will show the color variants.

I'm half-decided whether to get this, a color variant may push me over the edge.

 

Getting the grey deco for sure. Just need to see pre-orders.
Other than that... Translucent and golden versions. Maybe an SG deco?

 

We still haven’t seen any variants of Bee/Cliffjumper yet, and that’s their next release! We’ve seen test shots for Prime/Magnus and one of the Constructicons, so I doubt we’ll have additional information regarding Shockwave any time soon...

It's The Shockwave I've been waiting for! Glad that I don't need to wait too long or to get the MS version.
Maybe because MS is too fast, NA needs to change their schedule so this Shockwave seems to be released even before their OP.

I really like the way NA shows off a lot of repaints before the figures even come out. No need to wonder if they'll do an obvious repaint or when it will come out, no dealing with speculation, just do like they did with Galvatron and announce all of them up front.

And yes, sign me up for toy deco versions of the seekers, that's thevway to make me buy them all over again.
