Light piping is a sculpt ruining, dead eye creating, never-enjoyed but thoroughly overused plague upon the transformer industry

MS relies on ball joint sockets less than newage does.

Hopefully the final version does away with light piping.

I’m definitely not complaining. Between the two offerings revealed this week I think NewAge has a slight advantage. I like the unique qualities to the sculpt such as the extended knee guards and the curvature of the shins. I still may get both and just consider NA Shockwave a Season 1 version and MST’s a Season 2. Lol.

Obviously I've placed mine for NA version!! :)

It would be risky if they don't, those openings are stress relief points in the plastic.

The flexibility of MST's material choice allows them to get away without it in some places, but they do still have them on their figures. They just tend to design them to be hidden.

I just find it odd since no other NA figure has light piping. Why start now?

I can only assume it’s cause the MP version has it. It’s just as bad there though

Playing Devil’s advocate: every NA clear figure (from Cosmos to Soundwave) has technically the ability to be light piped...

I'm guessing he will have a light up eye gimmick. NA likes gimmicks and that's a pretty Shockwave-centric one.

There’s something to NA that I prefer to MS in many figures. NA’s feel more cartoony and there’s a slightly curve in the sculpt which feels like the official masterpiece figures. I really like how this guy looks

I own every mold NA has released and they are all great. Like their worst figure is like an 8/10.

MS has been more hit or miss on some figures. Optimus is great, The Seeker mold and lambo mold are kinda junk.

I usually pick and choose between the two: I have NA for the seekers and Cosmos and Magic Square for Optimus, Blaster, Megatron, and Soundwave. This round and Galvatron definitely go to NA for me.

    Surprised it aint Galvatron.

ΝΑ and MS cant fart without hitting one another eh?

Anyways again, its robot for NA and altmode for MS it seems.

I still remain firm in the NA camp.

I wish megatron came with a similar alt-mode stand.

I love that there is this battle between ms and na now. It forces them to keep putting out quality figures. The worst part for us is deciding which to buy.
