Ah, ok, I get you now - agreed! In amongst all the Blurrs and Longtooths (Longteeth?), there were definitely some classic Earth vehicles in there as well - including under-rated gems like Ruckus and Quake, for example.

In the cartoon Shocky was trying to defend Cybertron from being taken over (ep is called Revenge of Bruticus or something). Bruticus got him in gun mode and used him for a while to blast the decepticon drones. Then he shot him into space to keep him away for a while. The analogy was to @pilot00 's wallet/argument to resist buying another NA Shocky and also an MP Bruticus to hold him  

 

My wallet is already on a countdown to be blasted to outer space....I cannot resist much longer that new Zeta Unicron....and yet I must.....I overextended too much this month.

My Bee 2.0 and Cliffy got to me in a week from ShowZ when those released. Guess I got lucky that time because Shockwave is still not here and I need my Shockwave(s)!

Surprisingly my EX showed up today despite shipping a week after the normal version from ShowZ. Excited to play with this later today!

 

Can you share your thoughts/some pics so those of us still waiting on ours?  

 

First impressions are if you have and bought other NA figures the EX feels right at home. Excellent paint and build quality. The transformation is fun outside of the legs (they peg together a little too well). The dead eye is a bummer too. @NOCV any thoughts on making a solid yellow replacement eye? I have no idea how easy or hard it is to remove the current clear plastic mono eye.

 

The best, simplest, one-step "nice gold paint for something small" is a gold Gundam marker:


I've tried them all, this is superior to even fancy $15 "gold leafing" pens. A quick "circle of paint" should make Shockwave's eye look very nice.

Second place (for sheen/ease of use), but easier to find is Tamiya's gold marker:

 

My EX showed up yesterday. Nifty little dude. The head on mine is really stiff (so's the head on the Redwing that also showed up yesterday). Eagerly looking forward to Shackwave showing up soon too.

I'd still take a true toy colors Shockwave if offered, but this largely satisfies my desire for a legends version of this guy.

 

Do you install the battery by yourself or it's out of the box? My regular colour one doesn't come with battery.

 

All NA bots that take batteries don't come with them. Amazon is a good place to find them in bulk for cheap.
