Dang. I thought my Magnus collection was nearing complete... But this actually looks pretty cool. Very interesting design; looks a lot less PartsFormer-y and easier to handle than the MS equivalent.

looks like a lot of backpack kibble going on there.

looks decent, but i'm fairly happy with my recent IF UM and MFT OSKO, so this needs be be something really special for me to pick up a third one.

 

Is it reasonable to speculate that H27 is going to be OP between H26 CJ and H27W & H28 UM? I'm guessing 27"W" is for White and thus 27 is regular OP?

 

Is it just me, or does his chest look like it opens. Does this thing have both an Armored Optimus and a movie accurate matrix chamber in one fig? Is that even legal at this scale?

 

if UM chest opens up, if anything, it should show prime's chest. and that should open up to show the matrix chamber.

The Magic Square preorder that I have says April or May (I forgot which) so it should have an update soon regardless of this.

i may be going out on a limb here. but this looks like shit to me. NA gets somethings right no doubt and i like the idea of it being an all in one trailer.

but yet again MS does this bot better than NA. at least MS mags is wearing battle armor in a standard forward body orientation.

were as NS got too cute with it and made white mags body contort to fit the armor. he is just too thick and reversed. but the hanging offense for me is the 2 extremely visible arms and hands that lay on both sides of the head. hopefully NA mags has a panel that covers these. but if not i will just chalk it up as a horrible use of space.

It might be an illusion due to the nature of what they are showing, but I don't think it is an all-in-one trailer. The shot directly from the back makes it look like the only connection between the upper and lower body is a tiny arm on the white Prime figure, nothing for the trailer itself.

 

Even if you are right at the end of the day. How can you tell there are less partsform with these 3d renders?

 

I'm guessing you can rotate White Magnus' hands 90deg so that you have the flat back of his hand showing on top in the combined mode. Should be a bit cleaner. Might've just forgotten to do that on the model before taking screenshots.

 

You should look at their old render also. From that, the leg amors seems to be from 1 piece for each leg and 1 for each thigh. And in this render, the upper body looks like from 1 part, 1 part for the hip.

Although MS version is quite messy and too much partforming, I like their result a bit more.
Being a NA fan, this is a bit disappointing. The way those arms are hiden and the back is not ideal for me. NA seems to be in a rush after seeing too many updates from MS these days. That's really not good.

 

i'm surprised if prime's fists won't be folding into the fore-arm. i would think that would be required for his own transformation into a cab truck, no? i think the render has the fists out only to easily demonstrate/showcase how he fits into magnus and where the arms go.
