Looks like the same matrix deco as on LucyLu/Delta Magnus.

 

Got a shipping notice from ShowZ.

 

Got Rhodhs in from BBB. A nice novelty that was executed well. The translucent plastic feels reliable and hopefully remains so through multiple transformations. The glow seems to need A LOT of direct bright light to activate. I can confirm that it is a nice glow, but I don’t have the patience to give it a full body concentrated light bath. All of the die-cast parts look nice in gold. A unique option for those interested

I'd like to see how NA would handle a G1-toy inspired version.

 

Anyone here tried the Go Better upgrade kit for NA Ultra Magnus?
Tempted to buy one, but only if the parts are close to the quality of the figure (not a fan of excessive 3D-printing lines or mismatched colors...).

 

I have it for both Ultra & Delta Magnus. The UM one the quality is good, not a lot of 3d-printing lines, but the colors are not an exact match, but not terrible. Except the thigh covers which are painted a gloss white that stands out a bit from the white plastic of his legs. The DM one is fine except for the colors being slightly off. Overall I like them on the figure and it really cleans up the back/top.

 

For the most part, the colors match up well but the add on looks duller. The printed lines aren’t too visible. My thigh covers would not stay plugged into his legs so I put them away. The white color was a not a good match in my opinion as well.
Don’t be me and bend the lower back cover the wrong way and snap it  

 

Definitely a little rougher than I was expecting. Thanks folks.

 

For me this is the best upgrade kit, cuz the vehicle gets more space.

 

Got the Golden Shower repaint recently as well. Absolutely gorgeous. It’s really cool to see all of the details of the core bot through the translucent armor plastic. Ive also noticed that this version is far stiffer than the other two versions I own. My regular Ultra Magnus is quite loose so this is nice to have the reinforced joints. I hope we still get a regular translucent version of Magnus as well as an EX!

 

My Piss Magnus arrived yesterday! It's awesomeness burst through and splashed all over my face with the powerful stream of someone who just drank a lot of water and had been holding it for 12 hours. I love it. Also holy shit the glow is nice.

(Damn it this might've suckered me into buying Octavian/Conquest, even though I already own the Magic Square toon Magnus. The trailer armor and connections is really well done here. I owned four of the Prime cabs but this is my first experience with the Magnus version and I'm impressed.)

Wonder what the chances of them doing a G1 toy deco EX version are, think the additional red and the more tealish blue would look pretty good on the mold

 

ShowZ has Rhodes on sale for 10% off. Very frustrating since I paid full pre-order price and haven't even received it yet (hopefully in the day or two).

too bad you can't fit the shining magnus armour on to translucent prime. i'd like to see that combo!
