The back is ugly, but I find myself not looking at it at all, so it's kinda a mute point. I'm disappointed by the lack of ankles on the armor, but the wheels can be moved around to add stability, so that should be ok-is for posing. I'm really baffled why it's so different from the Optimus though. I don't see what they gained by changing the chest and legs. Seems like a downgrade without a payoff.

 

I didn't notice any colour match issues on mine.

 

Always wonders how those long haul truckers managed…

 

I think the armor should have ankles besides the wheels - it's just that the whole foot doesn't move with it - just the front toe

I got my Nemesis. Man, we are spoilt now we've reached a point where a figure like this, achieved at this scale, is seriously put down, and faced with stiff competition from a rival company. I remeber getting THS-02 the christmas after it's release ~15 years ago, and nobody's going to give that thing the time of day anymore. Or the DX9 Dutch and Generation Toy model kit, both impressive not too long ago, and so soon eclipsed.

He's not perfect, but I hope we're not losing sight of how good we have things now, with Newage and Magic Sequare egging each other on to our benefit. The black does a good job minimising the double chest and the extra thickness on the hitch. Thing is, like his back, it's all tidy and squared off enough that I find it hard to be that bothered by either compromise. What is a slight shame is that one one loose joint on mine is the mid-arm hinge necessary for the cab's arms to cube up for the Magnus armour, the only piece of engineering here that seems to be exclusively for that feature. I'll pledge it later, then never trouble myself with that hinge again, I think.

Sculpturally, I would have preferred the Magnus hip skirt, this one doesn't quite gel with the rest of the sculpt. And since the backpack is stepped (looking from above) rather than flat, the cape doesn't fit naturally, which is a shame. That's just an accessory though, not the main event, so whatever really.

And now I'm going to go keep an eye on MS version 2, since you know what's better than one tiny Optimus who is way better than we would have thought possible even 4 years ago? two tiny Optimii who are way better than we thought possible 4 years ago!

 

Got this bad boy from @SirToys and its an awesome figure, so much better than the Magic Square with the trailer kit add-on!

I really think Delta is the way to go with this mold. The dark blue hides the double chest and it just looks fantastic in general.

 

Because Magnus looks kinda awful by comparison.

 

Delta came earlier this week and I really like him. The mold looks incredible in these colors and maybe even better than Magnus. I really like how both the core bot and the armor have the same color on the thighs. Makes him look taller and more cohesive. The red and metallic paint looks awesome too.

 

What's the clear face for with Delta?

 

It's for Shattered Glass Ultra Magnus. It's supposed to look like a skull.
