thanks for that! yeah, you're absolutely right in that they should have put a rear window in alt and it would have made this less of an issue in both modes.

i'm going to have a look at perhaps sculpting and painting a rear window when i get mine in hand, as that would kill two birds with one stone.

Why they left out the rear window in the alt mode for bee is beyond me and annoying on an otherwise excellent figure.

Already see some minor things I need to go back and fix, (Keep in mind the images here are likely 3 times the size of the figure or more depending on the size of your screen)[Actual figure is very tiny] But yeah I was right about the rear window it fixes everything. Why they didn't have one is beyond me. It can still transform fine without paint chipping. But it looks much better to me.

Which again leaves me asking why DF leave off the rear window?

That is a pretty inexplicable omission. They sculpted and painted the much bigger rear window for Cliffjumper, so there's no reason Bumblebee can't have one. Maybe the designer just forgot that Bee should have a rear window or something.

If they release a special edition with a fix, I'm gonna be very pissed.

I just got these guys in from tfsafari. Wow I think they hit the limit of what can be done at such a tiny scale. I'm very impressed. My only issue is I wish they could have engineered a place to store his (Herbie) extremely tiny gun in alt mode.

If you put it under the front wheel wells length wise as you transform it, there is enough space for it to fit, but not enough of a gap for it to fall out. That's what I've been doing.

looks like you did some carving into the plastic before painting. can you share what you did as i'm keen on customizing mine if possible in a similar fashion?

Actually it’s all paint. I used colors and shades to imply depth where there isn’t any. It’s tamiyia blue metallic overlayed with a few layers of tamiya clear smoke. Then on the outer edges I used tamiyia clear yellow to make it look indented. No knives or carving except to get rid of loose lines after the paint dried

Got mine in today. Pictures really do not prepare you for how tiny they are. Only complaint I have is the ball joints on the hips are a bit loose. Not terrible, but I wish they were a little more solid.

Honestly. I really like these guys. Very impressive for the size. The feet on Bee aren't a deal-breaker but they seem a lot more awkward on Cliffjumper.

I would say Bee 1.0 is a better desk toy. Much easier to transform back and forth. The transformation on 2.0 is very clever and fun but it is a lot more fiddly. I would like 3.0 to be a little bit bigger so more effort can be put into cleaner feet.

Factoring in the price I would have to say 6/10 for these. I personally like them because I'm an 80s kid and a sucker for G1 Bee. Looks outstanding in robot mode. Fits in better with the other Newage bots. Great color and headsculpt. Good display piece but Bee 1.0 has more charm and is a more fun toy.

I got mine in yesterday and hit them with some Pledge Floor Care. Ball joints are great now.
