Articulation wise, it's a move forward. But they're clearly going the route of fake parts, which I absolutely despise. Plus, they'll probably sell it for $30+

I'll keep mine. At that size, it really doesn't need to be anything mind-blowing to be a good figure.

Kind of agree with you, is like they trying hard to make it look like the new MP Bumblebee. For now I m happy with my old bumblebee, well we just have to wait and see.

If the alt mode is a real Volkswagen Beetle, I might grab it.

I’m not dying to replace their V1. He’s among the first legends figs I got. But I’m intrigued enough to wait and see what they do with their second outing on the character. I hope this time there’s the obvious Cliffjumper re-mold.

Why is he only 5.5cm? What's wrong with 6cm? :p

Alright yeah this is a big improvement

Articulation way better, proportions way better, ankles good, hinge elbows, wrist articulation, non-emoticon face, seemingly rolling wheels, near perfect scale... Yeah, this is good

From an engineering standpoint this looks fantastic - I fully expect the transformation to be mind-blowingly insane, so I’ll probably buy it on that basis alone.

However, I’m not too sold on the proportions of the robot mode. He looks a bit too normal, too heroic. Bumblebee shouldn’t be slim and svelte, he should be slightly dumpy, with a big tummy.

    A rare misfire from NewAge?

the cool thing about chibi bee was that he was just a cool little fat bot. i never felt he should be smaller and thinner.

I've never been a fan of the classic 'giant belly/feet + mini arms/legs' design for toy Bee, so I'm all in for this 2.0 revision.
That massive peg on his leg in bot mode is a bit unfortunate, but otherwise I like it a lot.

Horror. Now MST show your Bee without tons of visible panels.

Panel lines always look worse on starkly-lit grey prototypes. Once it’s painted, it’ll likely look a lot more cohesive.

I hope it because I really like the first chubby Bee and lately NA figures has over-engineering.

Flipper is one of my favs. Easy to transform, good articulation and super solid. I’m not afraid to break it by putting in my pocket even in bot mode. This looks more cartoon accurate but looks fragile and not a good figure to take around trips compared to Flipper. Still, the panels will probably look less visible once painted.
