So I see SG Megatron on the Karate Kid box. I hope that's a preview of a recolor for him!

 

Id buy that for a dollar. Hopefully that's a hint.

 

oh boy...that's the same thing i hoped for when i started this and look where it got me - 3 Megatrons, 3 Primes (+1 coming), 2 Ultra Magnus(es? +1 more coming) 3 sets of Seekers, 3 sets of Coneheads, 2 sets of Rainmakers, 4 sets of Reflector, etc.

holding the temptation at bay quite well...almost snatched Sideswipe and Sunstreaker a couple of weeks ago. glad(was i really glad?!) i didn't have spare money to burn.

 

lol I’d be questioning skipping Sideswipe forever if I didn’t snatch him while I could.

Everything that I wanted it to be (besides the price ). Happy that the loose arms are only an issue for the toon release.

 

so i attempted to modify Frenzy so it would better match Rumble. added some red to the top of the unpainted knee cap and grey on the lower unpainted shines. was able to take out the pins for the feet and swap the white with grey from toon Rumble, but haven't been able to figure out how to get the pin in the back out to swap out the white for grey jetpack. so sadly those will have to stay i think.

All the the copies from the toon release are loose!?

No. Mine isn’t

 

looks better i guess for the molds. but i would suggest that you pick up some actual paints. markers just look like markers when the job is done.

if you want to get into the random paint app here and there give that a shot and i bet you will be pleasantly surprised how they turn out.

 

From the first transformation, mine is completely floppy at the first elbow hinge and the slide is pretty loose too. The double hinge negates the floppy elbow and I’m okay with the slide. Newage put out a press release with their images of Soundblaster & the toy recolor saying that they improved the loose arms, seems like that extends to Larusso as well. Good to know not all the toon arms are loose.

 

For me is only one of the elbow for toon release is floppy, others like toy deco and soundblaster, is rock solid.
