Too bad it's going to be a fakeformer like their Devastator...  

 

Exactly what I was thinking.

 

We shall see, and I don’t imagine it will be so bad.

 

After handling NA's Menasor, I'm super-excited to also get my hands on their Bruticus.

Edit: Ok for anyone just coming into the thread now, it’s confirmed fake. NA has not announced a Bruticus.

I guess that at this scale is kind of unavoidable... But I would want the extra pieces to transform into something else... Or maybe the engineers and designers found a way to make a mini Assaultus...  

 

My issue is when you don't even need the central figure(s) because the fake parts do everything for them. Like, I hate NA Devastator's all-in-one bodything. But I don't actually mind MS' version, which does the pants-forming thing as well---but the upper body is all built around the chest armor, with the two central bots REQUIRED. I never got him because the individual bot modes are way too big for what I'm collecting (and I'd prefer a shorter Devy too, but ah well...).

NA is so damn stuck in cartoon "perfection," they'll come up with an awful shell to shove onslaught into, Ala Zeta Superion. I know MS is doing one too, but we'll just have to wait and see how that one turns out.

 

It was only a matter of time. And I’m still stuck deciding between the MS or NA Devastators…

Not surprised, they can’t seem to be able to exist without announcing identical projects to Magic square.

But it's stable. Something you can not say about MS' Devi.

 

From the way Newage is currently blasting out bots, my money is on Menasor AND Brusticus, by the time MS' Bruticus hits.

 

You want beefiness, but also crumbliness, take MS.
If you can accept a slimmer build, but enjoy a stable figure, take NA.

 

I’m convinced NA has early prototypes or renderings lying around waiting for MS to reveal a project so they can drop theirs. Their Menasor was sitting in limbo for god knows how long, whiles MS was able to get it out within 6 months.

I keep hearing for some it’s stable, and others it’s a mess. Honestly not sure which to believe as the most accurate at this point.
