From memory a very cool $340

 

With the sighting of Wave 2 Velocitron I thought I’d have a look and guess what I found at Kmart Sylvia Park. No sign of Cosmos though and only the 1 Clampdown that I snagged.

Update: Hit up Kmart at Botany, no Cosmos, a metric ton of Override, 1 Blurr and a single Crasher.

 

Ok so, the hunt begins. Literally everything is at Kmart Westcity besides Scourge and Cosmos (there was one Cosmos but he found a way into my heart, and trolley).

Interesting that Shadowstrip and Crasher are out, I thought they weren't revealed yet lol

Edit: took a peek at St Lukes too, they were getting ready to put them out but saw someone snag the one Cosmos, looks like it's gonna be real shortstocked here...

 

Farmers is having a 20% off sale on Transformers. Managed to get Legacy Metroplex down from $340 to $272. Three left in stock at Farmers Northwest.

Farmers is currently the cheapest place to get him (Toyco wants $360 and Toyworld $380) and this sale might be the only "good" one for a while, so if anyone is interested I'd suggest pouncing now if you can.

 

Don’t bother with Kmart St Lukes, they have been hollowed out. Couple of Overrides and a lone Hauler is all that’s left, NZ Transformer fans are piranhas. Good luck out there, fingers crossed we get a restock like we did with the Netflix stuff.

 

Kmart Albany has been cleared out of all Blurr, Shadowstrip and Crasher. Plenty of Override and a few doubles of everything else.

Toyworld Albany has a sale for a few Kingdom figures. $100 for Rodimus, $70 for Galvatron and $72 for T-Wrecks.

 

Box of Overrides and Haulers at Porirua yesterday hopefully the rest gets put out soon. Learnt my lesson from the netflix stuff get them asap.

 

I hope we haven't been passed over for RID 2000 Scourge, I really wanted that one.  

 

Still hanging out on the other Studio series stuff showing up as well along with Wild Rider

Things have been pretty barren in Wellington so this is definitely a step in the right direction

 

Whelp, I will happily eat my own words from before about Metroplex. The Warehouse has put him up online so he should be hitting stores soon. A very cool even $300, so even cheaper than Farmers' $340 as reported earlier.

I'd be pissed if I had paid the $340 but still lucky I held off and paid during the 20% off sale for $272.

 

Naturally the titan I have absolutely no interest in (even at a discount) is the one multiple stores decide to have readily amounts of local stock of!  

I can't even remember the last time I saw a titan on an actual shop shelf around here, but I've already seen multiple of this guy.

 

I'm hoping for a Trypticon situation again and some deep discounts at some stage

 

Much as that Trypticon situation was a blessing for us all and my own hopes that it'll happen again someday, I kinda doubt it will. The Ark went down to $200 and it seems that is where it finally stayed at before stock sold out or they sent it all back to Hasbro.

I can only guess the retailers here lose too much money and shelf space if they keep Titans on shelves for too long without selling. We don't have the likes of Ross or other discount retailers here like the USA so they don't have the ability to simply offload clearance items to someone else.

 

Reissues of Retrax and Terrorsaur spotted at The Warehouse Westgate. $49 each, yeesh.

 

Yeah, definitely not jumping on them for those prices. Better to just wait since all the other BW reissues have gone into clearance.

 

I will never not be pissed off that they keep getting these BW things that just fill up shelves but never got wave 2 retro Headmasters.  

 

Still no deluxes here in Wellington.

Yeah its very weird. Have you hit up Petone yet? I might give Porirua another try tonight but still just an untouched box of Over Ride and Road Hauler

 

I had a look in Petone today, don't waste your time. Even the Overrides are gone. Wellington TF fans will snap up anything.

 

It seems more to me like the stocks just not here which is weird ah well might have to start asking around
