Aren't the shoulders supposed to be higher, though? (I'm there now and have it in hand)

99% sure it's the "bad" version, so I put it back in the hiding spot

If the tops of the shoulders are smooth, it’s built correctly. Jagged, it’s built wrong. This is a pic of mine in package.

Kingdom Galvatron Correctly Assembled Shoulders Variant-01.jpg

Here's the comparison shot for future reference.
It's hard enough finding this guy to begin with.
Figuring out shoulder placement is for the birds.
At least he's starting to pop up in stores again.

See I’m not really seeing a difference between your pic and the one Scott posted above
my eyes aren’t tge best, botched Cataract surgery in 1 eye

so those pics aren’t very clear to me

The one that says incorrect it’s a bit darker, And the one that says correct has a glare just around the shoulder area

Another way to tell the incorrect is that the rectangle in the front, lines up with angle markings near the chest.

If you look at the pics, there is a diagonal line on the chest part. That should be at the bottom of the rectangle on the arms. (Pics on the left). The pics on the right the diagonal is at the top of the rectangle on the arms.

Hopefully that makes sense, but I read it too many times, so I’m not sure!

Correct version lines up like this, further up from the angled chest markings.

Yeah, I have to open my phone's camera and zoom in, in order to see it in-box, but this pic from Twitter shows the key piece - if the very top of the shoulder looks like this, it's misassembled:

Also via Twitter, here's a correct one:

I'm going to a show in NYC on Tuesday, with a possible side-trip to Freehold NJ, I plan on using 5/20 and US 9 instead of the Interstates, so I can hit stores along the way...

Just found possibly another way to tell!
Apparently all bad ones have the same number stamped on the box, while a different number is common to all good ones!!
I asked the OP, still waiting for an answer, but it LOOKS LIKE 16811 for the bad ones, and 11231 for the fixed ones!!

On the back of the box, near the bottom.
Beast Megs' box for reference - on his, it's right above the next-to-last in the row of symbols ("EAC")

    20210823_011748.jpg

Zooming in on the original Tweet, looks like 16811 or 16911, possibly 10811 or 10911, for the misassembled, and fixed is definitely 11231
They changed the box design, but still the same area

Looks like I got the bad one

First let me say it I apologize for posting that the one I saw had the correct shoulders, I really thought they were good ones and I didn’t mean for you to waste your time heading all the way up there

Also I appreciate you taking the time to try to show me but I still can’t really see the area or I can’t find corresponding numbers

Here are some of the pictures I took

Damn, I can see it in the second picture, but it's a different number, looks like that one says 10621 o_O

It's actually an indentation, so the same black as the rest of the box - right above the V-2976B which ends the box of copyright text.
