Might be a stretch but, any targets in Manhattan (south of the costco one) have ironworks? or even any non-leader siege?
As I figured. I was 1 day past Targets 14 day price match policy. They wouldn’t discount my 2/8 Voyager purchase. Wound up buying a Grapple & Thundercracker on sale, then going to the car & grabbing my 2/8 receipt & promptly returning the two. Pain in the ass, but with the sale, I basically got Starscream for free.
I did this; getting Double Dealer and Snapdragon. Snappy was already marked down to $20, but they have a deal where if you get more than one, the lowest cost item is 50% off, so I basically got Snappy for $10.
I bought mine from New Hartford Target earlier this week. They got 3 cases in, he & Astrotrain both sold out.
Checking all seven Rochester area Targets, MAYBE a side trip to Batavia...not asking about backroom stock, just checking the pegs and shelves... Victor: no ER at all Penfield: a complete set of MMs, and two extra Trip-Up/Daddy-O Webster: Astrotrain was still there, passed on him; no sign of Optimus No ER at Irondequoit or Greece No ER at Chili, but I snagged both ML Ant-Man and Wasp for just $10 each Henrietta...I don't believe it...a Wheeljack and a Hoist! No Ironworks, though passed on WJ because I just wasn't feeling it, passed on Hoist because his box was damaged (toy looks okay, though)
Sadly Latham only had Astrotain and still Grapple. There was one Studio TF1 Megatron and Mixmaster left as well. May check East Greenbush tomorrow after work depending how I feel.

Can anyone tell me of a good place to buy new/used transformers in NYC? Hobby or toy shops? My son is there and and would be glad to shop for me.

I Googled the code, and what few hits weren't broken seemed to point to Apeface and Optimus...? Nothing I'm after, at least...
They had to be pulled from the back. I scanned a voyager and it showed there was some insane number (25+) in the back. When the worker brought them out, he said there were a bunch of boxes of Megatron/Thundercracker.
Random question, but did any of you guys happen to purchase an Earthrise Astrotrain, open it, carefully repackage it and then return it to Target in Colonie? I picked him up today and noticed he was loose in the packaging from a lack of ties, but stupidly didn't notice the tape on the side of the box had been cut before making the purchase. As far as I can tell everything is here, and he's in good shape, so I'm confused why he would have been returned. Maybe a Siege for Earthrise swap, for some reason.
