This looks surprisingly cheery.

Which means that it probably won't be, let's wait and see what good people die for stupid and pointless reasons.

 

When I got selects Hotshot I looked at him and placed him with my WFC wreckers next to impactor ironfist and the powerdashers. Seeing him on these covers puts smile on my face

 

Not exactly what you’d expect when you think Wreckers…

But who knows, maybe they’ll morph into the more brutal version we’re more familiar as the war progresses.

Either way, new addition to the new continuity.

 

ugh. this is just depressing.
I don't know who'd actually do anything better with it, but I'd give about anything to get the license away from IDW.

(I'd at least come up with a new logo/trade dress instead of trying to ride the coat tails of LSTOW)

It's also a shame, because I love the idea of Stepper/Hot Shot/Thunderclash as Wreckers, but peace sign selfies and skateboarding on alt modes... it's like a bad parody of a bad parody.
 

 

What made Ditry Dozen such a terrible, awful bad film, was that they were not all smiling like circus clowns the whole time.

NOTE: there are smiles in the movie, but the movie poster does not suggest they are all on something.

This is a MTMTE cover masquerading as something else.

 

It's Wreckers that would go well with MLP.

They coulda called this something totally off the wall and I'd still be interested just for the character selection. It's nice to get some stories focusing on characters who really haven't had that much fiction to their names before, especially when it could've just been "1984-1986, but again" like so much stuff with the brand has been the last few years.

 

I forget about that series existing.

 

Why do you assume they will die? This is a different continuity.

 

Interesting. I'm not knocking fun adventure time energy, but I'm curious how they'll fold in stakes.

 

Yay, we can start a new dead pool!  I mean it\'s a wreckers story.  You send the wreckers to change a lightbulb, you\'d better send at least three, one to change the bulb, two to die pointlessly.

 

That's an interesting lineup of characters; not what I expected from a Wreckers title, but I am looking forward to seeing where this goes. Also, I notice the insignia everyone's wearing is different than the usual Wreckers insignia. I wonder if that's at all significant to the story? Perhaps this is a prototype or next-gen Wreckers team?

 

Weren't IDWreckers basically war criminals? I never knew breaking the Geneva Galactic Convention could be so kawaii.

 

oh man, i wish we got a transformers series that handles 11 minute episodes as well as adventure time.

This gives off a MTMTE / Lost Light vibe. I'm in for this.

I would love for the last page of either this issue or the final issue to show the original Wreckers team looking mighty displeased... Which would lead to a second series.

 

So who is the one that looks like an orange Axer? Anyhow, this could be an interesting group, especially if they are set against the Mercenaries from the Earthrise show/Selects line. I wish they would add more characters to the Mercenaries group.
