There must have been some serious behind-the-scenes drama if Disney/Marvel are skittish about this after its cancellation.
The director has stated the main reason the show was canned even after a well recieved pilot, is that one executive didn't like the gay focus of the characters and thought it would be "messy". That executive apparently had enough say to get the show dropped. That executive has also apparently been fired. I assume the reason they don't want to talk about it is the reasonign why it was dropped and that technically if they were to pick it up again, nothing would be stopping it from getting released. Though I don't think Freeform or Disney want to admit that or put the money in again.
Still not too late to put Milana Vayntrub into the MCU. If they're already going to throw in Ironheart, Ms. Marvel and America Chavez, might as well get Doreen in too.

Well, this show being referenced on She-Hulk was a welcome surprise. Maybe there's still hope for it.
Actually i think the show killed any chances for this show to come out, unless you recast Mr Immortal with his She-Hulk actor, as he was played a different actor in New Warriors, unless you say he's like his son or something
The actor they picked was too old. The one in the comics is typically depicted as a younger dorky douche bag. He gets killed a lot and is pretty bad at being a superhero
