I'm just going to say I'm mixed on this right now. Also, making the New Warriors a comedy show might not be the best idea.
Depends If it has characters like Speedball, Nova and Night thrasher, then the comedy aspects should be secondary to the action. If it has Big Bertha, Flatman, Mr. Immortal and the gang then it should be a comedy.
This is a joke right? Starring Squirrel Girl? Probably the first Marvel show I skip if that isthe case... I mean, not only is she overhyped, but she was never a member of the New Warriors as far as I'm aware. Or is this going to be Great Lakes Avengers called something different so not to confuse some people?
^ Well, she already has the cheeks for it, lol. XD Does ANYONE ELSE ever get the impression that practically NO ONE here even bothers to READ the posts before theirs?
There are already a some celebrities who have expressed interest in the character before this The only thing I know for sure is more likely than not Marvel will soon have a New New Warriors comic starring Squirrel Girl soon.
They haven't talked about it, but Marvel made some deal with Fox. It was how the Legion, and X-men TV series are being made. The contract gave Marvel approval rights and Marvel still has the X-men TV licenses. So in order for it to happen some deal was hatched. So what that means for the future is unknown.
That looks better than the artwork for the current run. I'd read that run if the artwork was more this than what the current run uses. I do think Squirrel Girl would be better done as the focus of a movie first maybe. Or introduce her through Agents of SHIELD before giving her show of her own.
Movie, TV, hey whatever it takes to get Squirrel Girl into the Marvel live action universe. Although I like the idea of TV just because Marvel needs something on the lighter side to keep up with the CW. I like Agents of SHIELD and I like the Marvel series on Netflix, but sometimes they get a little too serious so when you are looking for fun Foggy Nelson is pretty much it. Plus it couldn't hurt if Marvel started tapping harder into the fact that there are a load of female geeks out there these days so a few more female heroes couldn't hurt. If DC keeps tapping into their line up of female superheroes and super villains then Marvel is going to look like a superhero sausage fest.
She might be a bit too old but still would be fun. Oh yeah that guy from Arrow's cosplay. Though considering how things are right now, I don't think Squirrel Girl will appear on the silver screen, they really want to divorce the two and keep TV and the Movies separated.
