This is what I was looking for/wondering about yesterday. When will Takara release the Decepticon clones? Now I have my answer.

BBTS screwed everything up so now I can order the Takara releases & totally skip Siege On Cybertron & the Walgreens set.

 

War Hammer bumblebee sounds interesting. With that kind of name, hope he comes with his TF5 hammer.

Glad to see Movie The Best is continuing even though I don't particularly care about movie toys. What kinda annoys me is that we get more Leader-mold versions of Megatron and Optimus / Nemesis... can't they use the new Voyagers? Even I as someone who isn't much into the movies would buy the Voyager Megatron from TLK if they'd properly paint him already. Oh well, maybe in a few years.

MB-17 is interesting though, if this really is the MPM mold, is this how they need to get around repainting it because of the Hasbro deal? Maybe every MPM needs to have a shared number, so if Takara wants to do repaints for their market only they need to be in another line entirely? If that's the case, repaint MPM Bumblebee in movie accurate colors next please. I really liked the look of the figure in the initial promo shots but the real car yellow they went with on the final release looks ugly to me.

Anyways, on to Legends:

I want the Decepticon Clones, I prefer their animal modes over the Autobot clones' vehicle modes and they fit so well together with LG-50 Sixshot color-wise that I will repurpose them as his ninja students.

Windblade... meh. The mold isn't really that good, and I don't need a Targetmaster for a figure I don't own (assuming the Targetmaster is indeed Fracas / Nightstick).

G2 Megatron!

Kinda, I was assuming it to be an exclusive of sorts. But hey, this is better. I like the Blitzwing mold so I wouldn't be opposed to buying two of them, especially since I could use this one as BWII Megastorm.

For that reason it would be interesting if Takara wouldn't tampo any insignias on him an instead deliver Decepticon & Predacon stickers. Although a gorgeous G2-deco with proper stickers tampo'd on would look pretty sweet.

 

Wow, Bumblebee by way of Games Workshop, now he really will be able to devour souls!  

Pleased to see the con clones are right on the heels of the bot ones and G2 Megs sounds cool.  

 

I would rather the MB-12 be the Human Alliance Jazz than the Deluxe Class Movie Jazz figure.

Since we have confirmation that Takara is doing Windblade, I wonder what the odds are that they'll retool her as Slipstream eventually? Considering it never happened with the RiD mold, probably near non-existent. Still I'd love it if it happened.

 

Where is this movie line leaks that people have been talking about? I only know of the potp stuff.

Given that they Takara-ed most of her releases . Haha , the question is whether they have her signature blade ? Given the reissue of her previous legends mold , there's a possibility of that .

 

Assuming you meant the Megatron Shoulder cannon:







The cannon uses one of the two 5mm holes on the shoulders, unused in either version of Megatron/Blitzwing so far, which was a major reason most people had G2 Megatron down for the Voyager in the Firepower set.

 

Wait, only repaints? No new Jazz mold? No new Bonecrusher or Lockdown or any of them...?

Don't do this to me man, all that brand new POTP stuff I couldn't care less about, at least give us new toys too!

Seeing as how all of the figures besides Blackout and Grimlock just have movie render images. It would seem they are all new molds in development.

 

Probability suggests a Japanese G2 Megatron is purple. They only ever got the Combat Hero/Archforce version in their G2, not the larger tank in green which had to wait till BWII. The EZ Collection tank Megatrons were purple (save for the grey one in TF-Go) as was United.

(I thought someone bought up a green Japanese Megatron the last time this came up but I can neither remember what it was or find it!)

I'm kinda hoping she'll still have the TR swords cause i'm one of the few who thinks they look cool, especially on the jet.
But there's little chance since none of the other Targetmasters retained their TR weapons.

 

Does look like new molds or semi retooled . Optimus had some new flaps thing in the truck mode in the back .
