If everything on that list is what i think it is, there's actually nothing on it that i need. Maybe. Whilst Henkei reissues are more of a Hasbro Asia thing, than a Takara thing, if Takara were planning to reuse the mold that soon after the Henkei reissue, would the Henkei reissue happen? Convoy at the end would suggest a truck too?
just found the prices/dates on Full Metal Hero's forums, they're all deluxes it seems, except for the windcharger/wipeout pack which is probably going to be the same as the rumble/frenzy pack.
Rodimus Convoy is definitely the one to watch for, here's hoping it makes it's way to the Generations line. I'm intrigued by the two Beast Wars submissions as I want to see if these will be redecos of the originals or brand new sculpts. Either way, I'm loving what I'm seeing. The only other thing I'm wondering is if Tank Megatron is a War for Cybertron redeco or if it's a new sculpt based on Megatron's current IDW iteration.
Axalon might be just HftD Axor. It's kind of similar in katakana. I really doubt any of those are new moulds. At any rate, it's nice to have something to look forward to, I'm totally in for Windcharger set
I hope they make a lot of the Windcharger/Wipe-Out pack, I can see a lot of American collectors (myself included) pouncing on it. And I could see Takara reissuing the Rumble/Frenzy set at the same time. Big note to Hasbro: it is in your best (financial) interests to get these figures (back) out, by whatever means necessary! "Tank" Megatron is also interesting, the optimist in me sees a more G2-accurate figure than the two-pack, and it would go fine against RtS Laser Prime. +-MWG-+
I don't think it's as good as it first sounds TBH. A large chunk of that listing is molds shoehorned from other sublines. Which in turn might suggest NEW Classic s molds are still a good while off.
Hm...remember when we got the Gen Arcee figures on a list and turn out to be TFP Arcee? Well, could it be that the Ark Unicron is the TFP Unicron? ^^ Tank Megatron? Probably the one from the 2 set with Optimus? :s I am interested in Beast Megatron, Primal and Axalon. Does reminds me to the 10th anniversary set though. :S Oh, well, thanks for the news!
The cynic in me assumes the Beast Wars are the Cybertron/BW10th toys, as I'm not aware of an official Japanese release for them, along with 2-pack Classics as 'tank Megatron'. I was thinking "Ark Unicron" might have been the Cybertron toy, but the price point is the same as the Windcharger/whomever 2-pack for that. The Rodimus Convoy and Axalon are the true 'no idea' for me (aside from all-new molds, which is likely for Roddy, as I doubt they would pass off a repaint as him) The more new molds, the more exciting, of course.
I can guarantee a bulk of these are just re-releases under the new label, ala the Classics 2-set Prime and Megatron they put out when the line first hit.
I take back what I said. I think the Tank Megatron was the deluxe one from Classics. I am hoping Tankor is not a Skullgrin redeco.
