It sounds like Lockdown is say "He Wants" to me.

 

The editing is really off putting here as Optimus is asking a question and the flow is disturbed then Lockdown gives his line, I assume he's talking to Galvatron from this line because Galvatron is built. We've already seen hatch lings in ROTF so pretty safe to say most cybertronians are born whereas Galvatron has in fact been built in this movie.

 

I definitely heard "they".

 

Timothy bud, pal. Lets not get intonit with everyone over you heard this or that guy heard that. I too heard "They want you back" but the point is, we are all talking about a British accent from a voice actor who is not all that great at voices lol. We all could be hearing it wrong. But the best way to know for sure is to watch but with subtitles on. Thos that have it recorded on their Smart TVs can watch it with subtitles  

 

Here's a thought. What if Lockdown isn't refering to the Transformers, but Rather to humans? Twist could be that Human's didn't evolve naturally, but that someone has been manipulating life on earth for millions of years, and caused humans to evolve.

I have listened with the lights on, lights off, watching the video, NOT watching the video, volume up AND down. My conclusion?

I've managed to hear it both ways depending on nothing in particular.

My first impression was "He Wants," even before I got into this thread.... But now I don't know.

But... Ask yourselves this- Which is more likely to make an appearance first in the bay-verse?

Unicron, or Quintessons?

I have absolutely no idea how anyone is hearing "he wants", because it's clearly "they want". In the words of Kim Jong Il "God dammit, open your fuckin' ears!".
As for the line itself, very intriguing. If he is talking to Optimus then I want flap my arms around all "OMFG M8, they're doing movie Quintessons!".
On the other hand it's just as likely that this is some point after Galvatron achieves sentience and he's had a run in with Lockdown. If that's the case then – to quote TF: Prime Optimus – "it stands to reason" that whatever gave him sentience also gives him the idea that he's a true Cybertronian, perhaps an important one at that, and tries to assert himself as such.
He could even inherit Megatron's memory – seeing as we've seen his head prop on set, with it being used like Sunstreaker's real head in the earlier IDW stuff as a hub to control Galvatron or the Vehicons – but only to the extent that he recalls being a leader and a conqueror, not that he was literally Megatron.
What could cause that to happen is another matter. Neural feedback from damage inflicted by Optimus or a power surge at the KSI facility or some such science-fiction dealy?

If he's talking to the humans, well then, that's even intrigue-ier.

 

Now that I think of it, I think he talks to Galvatron about how humans want him to retreat (they want you back), and insulst him on how he's their pet. Maybe Lockdown's speech will be the push for him to rebel against humans.

I totally agree with this, I did the same thing. Im not sure either way, some times its "they" and "want" ,others its "He" and "wants".
Im leaning towards "they" and "want" and think the effect used on Mark Ryans voice gives the sound of "wants" at times.

 

I feel like he may well be talking to Galvatron. I dunno whether Galvatron would gain sentience this early though - or how.

His head looks like it's slightly turned away from OP, looking at something over OP's right shoulder.

It's a predicament, that's for sure.

 

If Lockdown wants Optimus for that reason... They obviously want him because they built him. But if the AllSpark was built, why wouldn't they want every other Transformer on the planet. It's either

a) Optimus is special for some reason

OR

b) He was built by means other than the AllSpark and is special for some reason.

 

It's probably this, but I would like Lockdown to be talking about the Quints.
