I found this on Barnes and Noble's website, but, I've neither seen nor heard this mentioned before. It's a book, or possibly a comic, simply titled: Transformers: Prime, apparently written by both Orci and Kurtzman.

There's currently no picture, but the price is 8.99, with the list price of 9.99, and it is currently set to be released October 1, 2010. The publisher is Idea & Design Works, LLC, also known as IDW Comics! This book has a page count of 88 pages.

I never realized until I just looked them up, but, Idea & Design Works, LLC, is actually IDW Comics! This might not be a book, but rather a comic!

 

Oh darn for a moment I thought it might be a way for us to get a sneak peak at the new show. But the release date doesn't really spill the beans all that early.

 

True, however, I would imagine that the publisher has to release a synopsis at some point, and I'm certain that related books will be released around the same time frame, possibly, with, theoretically anywau, publishing catalogs providing advertising, meaning for us, more information.

 

True even if it doesn't give us an advanced look at the series it could still provide tons of information on the characters and how this Transformers series is different than the other series.

The price is pretty low as well so that's a plus.

Yup i was hoping they would have a picture of the cover which could have shown us what the Transformers would look like for Transformers rime.

I could be wrong, but I'm thinking something along the lines of those "screengrab comics" that were made for Animated.

This was my initial reaction too. Time will tell. Maybe if we get an online preview of this a little early it'll be a nice teaser for the show.

So its a prequel that takes place on Cybertron and shows the rise of Optimus Prime... there's a lot of that going around lately... I wonder if War For Cybertron, the Exodus novel, and this graphic novel are all different interpretations of the same story. Hmmm...

 

I'm wondering if this may be a WW or WFC style show. It seems like it's going to take place on Cybertron.

Worries about the plot...

For some reason I feel like this book takes after the game (war for cybertron) and the worse part is that they said Bumblebee and the Autobots... where is Optimus...and they're looking for a new leader? I hope that Optimus doesn't die and they need to find a replacement Prime aka Bumblebee. I mean I hope I'm the only one thinking this because if Hasbro is then they would be no Optimus in Prime. (Please by the spark of Primus let me guess be wrong!)

 

So is this a prequel to the cartoon? Or actually an adaption?
