One of the plans with the movie line is that there will be product for everyone. A quick look at the stuff in the store databases confirm that its the case.

Hasbro even explicitly said that the movie line would be the "main line" of 2007. Mainline means all the regular size classes.

We have seen listings for: Off-screen Basic, Deluxe, Voyager (no Ultra) and Leader. As far as "regular" figures go. Then we have extras like:

Robostompers, Real Gear Robot, roleplay items (masks, guns etc), Robovision Optimus Prime, Real Talking Bumblebee, the Bump N Go, Transformers plushies, Transformers Movie Unleashed, Titanium and the much discussed "Transformers Movie Ultimate" figure.

In all this, and gods know what else there will probably be a "for collectors" item or items that fits the bill.

The reason Alternators takes a break is pretty obvious looking at this list that while it alone is massive we haven't even seen what each cathegory has. There is a lot of items that will pour into the stores worldwide come summer.

Classics we allready know is done. Everything produced for it will be out when the last Deluxe wave hits (that would be conehead and Cliffjumper). It whas only supposed to be a filler line between Cybertron and the Movie. We knew that.

Nice, but like a lot of people on here I get a Megatron vibe from it. This is what G2 & Ultimate Battle Megatron should've looked like, with the BFG on the arm (not replacing it) and hopefully they'll apply this design to a future tank Megs.

Movie alt modes yay!

 

I still wish they'd use a more realistic looking tank mode for him. All the other vehicle modes are based on real designs. Did a secondary turret and cow catcher really add anything to it? It just looks silly. They should have kept it as just a 'plain' Abrahms.

Bot mode is a bit to...I dont know. Something about it puts me off.

I assumed that there will be "Deluxe" sized movie figs, and more expensive "Ultra" or "Leader" or even "Supreme" sized figures of a lot of the same characters. As much as we hate that, I think I will be copping all of them. Can't wait to see a Megs, though.

 

Brawl looks like he should have been Megatron.... or is it just me....

Hes very slightly Mis-Transformed ... If you look at the "Blurry" Brawl pic from a While ago he had a short Stocky 4 barreled Arm gun/Cannon,

Nighttrain does the Cannon Split ? and if so can you do some Brawl pics with the 4 Barreled Cannon ?

(Look at the end of the Current Cannon for the 4 Barrled one.

He looks alot like what Transtech Megatron was supposed to look like. Similar head and body shape and everything.

As for the tank mode, I'm surprised they didn't go for the realistic Abrahms tank as well. Especially in light of the fact that it doesn't seem the extra turret is needed for the transformation. Guess they got a good deal from the Triple X 2 set or something.

 

Sweet, and I still have hopes for bigger size toys.
