yeah, the more I think about it, the more it seems likely that this is, in fact, the G1 revisited line. Which is great, since it was stated at Botcon that the line could have been cancelled before seeing the light of day. Good thing it will actually - eventually - be released!

Maybe it's a few Target-exclusive RobotMasters? Maybe it will fill the gap between Cybertron and the neo-G1 line? I'm totally guessing as well, but it wouldn't be the only time Target had a previously Japan-only toy.

Could they correspond to the BW Primal and Megs?

Yep, the BW 10th figures were in the computers a good 6+ months before they shipped. Heck, no one knew what they were at first either.

Has anyone punched these in at their local Target to see how much they are? After seeing how expensive their exclusive Star Wars figures were, I wouldn't be surprised if these Ultras were $25-$30. :mad

Damn it Pimpimus, I thought I'd get to be the one to remind everyone that Target had the $15 BW 10th Anniversary stuff listed early last spring. Way to rain on my parade.

But yeah, it really is the only plausible explanation, and the timeframe is pretty close to working (going by the BWX example, we'd probably start seeing these toys in October or November, earlier than planned, but not by much).

Well, it all seems to make sense. But, I think I'll remain cautiously optimistic, so as not to be too disappointed if it turns out otherwise. This is the line that's going to get me back into buying tf's, if it actually happens.

It most likely is G1 reissues. since astro train is comming out it has to be comming out in some store sooner or later. I believe there was a rumer going around that Target was going to sell reissues back when Hasbro was poppin' them out like a pregnant woman hav sextuplets.

    To ensure Transformers continues to offer new and exciting product between the end of Cybertron (probably ending around October with Christmas clearing out stock) and the launch of the movie line (no earlier than April of 07);
Hasbro is reportedly making new toys based on G1- "Neo-G1"
The description offered by Hasbro was "Alternators detail on Cybertron playability"

I also think these listings are for the G1 Redux line, even jives with the "deluxes and megas" sizes given by Hasbro themselves.

Nobody has mentioned that since maybe these figures are down the road that the Universe one isn't the Constructicons or the Repugnus one, but the Universe Seacons.

cool! I hope they call it "Transformers Neo" or something like that. If there is a cartoon made, maybe they'll bring it back to North American production. I'd love for mainframe to get their hands in the Transformers franchise again! I know I think big, but hey I guy can dream.

Hasbro basically said that they wouldn't be producing a new cartoon for this series (it's just meant to be a filler line). But given that Megs is a gun, and that they would probably want a lead in to the movie, I'm guessing that they'll re-air the original cartoon to sell this line.

    It isn't

ONe, we would have known if they were by now, and two, it would be listed as a single item like Nemesis Primal was. I really doubt Hasbro would break up the Seacons just so they could make it into an assortment.
Two, Hasbro said the SEacons were dead AND Target was getting the last wave of Universe Ultras

And besides, NOBODY wants fishbots :p

Aaron Archer explicitely stated his distate of all things Robotmasters and said there would be NONE in the US, so obviously its not that, the neo-G1 line IS the filler line :lol
