Well, I think Soundwave will be Rook retool, and rumble and frenzy will be motorcycle like groove. Have you all wondered why groove has 5mm post and holes in his legs? I think that's because the birds will be sidecars for the bikes, and the bikes can attach together tonight form infinite chain of bikes

Then we just need a dedicated Galvatron.

His new tank mode in the comics isn't unlike Megatron's leader class tank form.

All the former cassettes have vehicle modes in the comics. So I expect that we will see that too. Soundwave's minions are cool robots but the need to have cassettes is not as important as a mini army.

I would totally hate if Galvatron ends up being a re-tool of that Megatron and looks like his current comic incarnation.

If they go for IDW look I want how he was first introduced. That is basically a G1 Galvatron with the design a bit pimped here and there.

    I actually don't recall.

    Rumble/Frenzy are motorbikes.

Lazerbeak/Buzzaw appears to be motorbikes too but I don't recall seeing their alt-modes. They have wheels in their wings though.

Ravage, I am not sure. His current form in MTMTE has no vehicle cues. He may not have made it to earth and adopted a vehicle form like the others.

Awesome. I really hope that Ravage is based on his MTMTE design. The one he's usually drawn with, not the one Rojo drew him in, that was just his old design. We already have both a Masterpiece and Universe version of his usual design.

I really hope that Rumble is a new mold and not a repaint of Groove, although I'd still like him to be a Bike. I'd want him to also have some compatibility with the inevitable Soundwave. Although wanting both might be asking a bit much.

I think Groove may well have been a retool of Rumble.

However if they design a new bike mode for Rumble/Frenzy I'm in.

Ravage is still a cassette, assumedly, he had been in his Classics body for quite a while prior to MTMTE and there's not any major differences in his MTMTE appearance.

The others are all motor bikes, although none of them are particularly similar to Groove in either robot or vehicle mode. I think its far more likely that we'll be getting a Soundwave with a deployer gimmick and these guys will be designed to work with him. Perhaps a huge, neon-flashing sign of this is the fact that we have a listing for Buzzsaw and not Laserbeak. Laserbeak will obviously be included with Soundwave.

I beg to differ. See below:

From the seat forwards they're very similar.

Yeah, they are actually more similar then I remember.

Still, listings of Stripes, Ravage, Rumble and Buzzsaw all coming out within 2 waves, plus the lack of Laserbeak... I'm definitely counting on them being deployer figures for a new Soundwave that comes with Laserbeak.

I hope not as Combiner Wars has been free of gimmicks (although you could say combiners are a gimmick).

I would count combining as a gimmick. Especially since it takes away from the figures. At least, I really, really hope the reason all the Deluxes are so similar and simple is because of the giant combiner port in their chests.

Hasbro's gonna make the internet flip its lid. Soundwave will be a Hotspot/ Onslaught retool, with his minions as limbs. Soundwave Maximus!

I hope Hasbro takes the opportunity to do the right thing and make a proper, voyager scale Soundwave that is his own mold, and the definitive Generations version.

If so is anyone looking for a complete FOC sound wave and minions without packaging?

What if next year they do Deluxe torso and Legend limbs?

Groove does have those mysterious pegs on his legs...

It will be interesting to see how Rumble comes out. Could be a Groove remold or somehow tied to that upcoming Eject (or is it Rewind?), or something completely new. I just hope Frenzy follows quickly (would it be asking too much to ship both in the same wave?). I wonder if Wheelie might wind up being a pre-tool for an upcoming Beachcomber? He needs an earth mode of some sort and Beachcomber could use a mold brother (and the orange repaint of Universe Beachcomber was ok also).

So going by what's in the comics, I'm guessing that Frumble will turn into motorcycles now. Maybe Groove retools?
