What does it mean that the aligned continuity has been abandoned?

 

I don't see a single Autobot or Decepticon insignia on the truck. If this means it's a neautral Cybertronian, there's a big chance it could Wreck-Gar or some kind of junker-bot who doesn't side with either factions.

I really don't think that's the Star Seeker symbol, although if it is, I could imagine that this is actually one of the movie Seekers. The ones who would actually seek stars.

sorry bud but that's not a Star Seekers emblem. It's a sticker for a place it's been to, not of its faction. It looks more like 2 Arabian or some form of swords over a seal/shield and under a crown that looks very European maybe. Besides, if it was a faction logo of some kind, I don't think it would just be on a sticker slapped on the fender of the truck.

I think this guy will be named "Junkheap", playing the role of Wreck-Gar. Hasbro and Takara will have a lot of work to make a good robot on this one.

 

Jazz did not loose his legs, he got ripped in half at the place there his spark-chamber was, meaning his spark was torn.

Bay is not the first to do character changes, as such changes has happened ever since G1 ended.

Anyway, it will be interesting to see what this dumptruck turns out to be.  

 

How fitting...a garbage truck for a movie that will continue to deliver garbage. Buried underneath, are the waves terrible toys.

 

Just to be specific,Animated Wreck-Gar was not a Dump Truck as the OP stated,he was actually a Trash Truck,used mainly to pick up peoples trash in neighborhood residences.But I am not criticizing the OP,I just wanted to clarify the situation.Later.

 

Worth noting: "1924" is not the year in which the truck was produced, it is the model number. It's actually from the late 1950s.

 

All these cool reveals will just lead inevitably need to a sloppy execution of a film.
